ALLENite Mridul Agarwal topped in SX Stream (Class 12th)
The stream-wise result of KVPY Fellowship 2020 has been declared. Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is an on-going National Program of Fellowship in Basic Sciences, initiated and funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, to attract exceptionally highly motivated students for pursuing basic science courses and research career in science.
Sh Brajesh Maheshwari, Director of Allen Career Institute, said 21 students have achieved a position in the top-10 in class 11th and 12th, out of which 11 are Allen Classroom Students. Mridul Agarwal of Class 12th topped Stream SX. In the same category, Rishit Shrivastava secured AIR-2, Ameya P Deshmukh secured AIR-4, and Tanay Vinit Tayal secured AIR-10. 4 out of 11 Students in the Top 10 in SX stream are ALLEN Classroom Students
While Mohit Hulse of Class 11th achieved the second position in SA Stream, in this category, Rakshit Singh secured AIR-3, Atharv Shivram Mahajan secured AIR-4, Mrinal Sharan secured AIR-5, Pritesh Mehta secured AIR-6, Aditya Krishna Srivastava secured AIR-6, and Pratyush Sharma secured AIR-10. 7 out of 10 Students in the Top 10 in the SA stream are ALLEN Classroom Students. In the examination, 1019 students in the SA stream and 1890 students in the SX stream have been qualified for the fellowship.
Every year this exam is conducted in two stages. After passing the written aptitude test and the fellowship, interviews take place based on the combined result of both examinations. In view of Covid-19 this year, the result has been released only based on the aptitude test. The examination was held on 31 January. Under the fellowship Rs. 5000 per month and Annual Contingency Grant of Rs. 20000 is given during 1st to 3rd years of – B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math. / Integrated M.Sc. /M.S. Similarly, Rs. 7000 per month and Rs. 28000 Annual Contingency Grant is given during M. Sc. / 4th to 5th years of Integrated M.Sc. /M.S./M.Math./M.Stat. The Student is eligible to receive the KVPY fellowship up to the Pre-PhD level or 5 years, whichever is earlier.
