Misfortune: Missed the Exam in JEE Main Session 2 Due to a Delay of a Few Seconds

Be it helplessness or misfortune, if there is strong courage, every battle can be won. Another significant example of the caring of Career City Kota and strong courage has come to the fore. The story is of Sujit Madhav, a student from Sheikhpura, Bihar. Sujit Madhav has cracked JEE Main 2025 and is preparing for JEE Advanced.

Sujit missed the exam in JEE Main 2025 Session 2 exam because he had gone to the examination center by cycle. After locking his cycle when he was going to enter the examination centre, the gates were closed in front of him, and Sujit was left outside. Now, on the basis of JEE Main 2025 Session 1 result, he has qualified for JEE Advanced with 98.555 percentile score.

Not only this, Sujit has been worried about his mother’s illness for the last two years, but did not give up. Allen Kota also gave Sujit a special concession in fees for both the years and motivated him to move forward. Sujit has secured AIR-22268 and OBC category rank 5625 in JEE Main 2025.

Mother First had Brain Hemorrhage and then Cancer

Sujit, a resident of Sheikhpura in Bihar, has studied from a government school. The family has to earn daily to eat. Father Chunchun Kumar is a farmer and mother Kiran Devi is a housewife. Farming provides only that much food which just feeds the family, the rest of the time the family has to do labour or small jobs to fulfill the other needs of the family. The house is also half made of kutcha and half made of pucca. Sujit was good in studies, so he came to Kota in the year 2023 and took admission in ALLEN Career Institute.

Father borrowed money on interest from moneylenders in the village and sent Sujit to study. Sujit was performing well here but on 8 November 2023, his mother suffered a brain hemorrhage. Sujit was very upset due to his attachment to his mother.

He went home for a few days but had to take his 12th exam, so on the persuasion of his brother, he came back to Kota. Here the faculties motivated him and he passed class 12 with 81 percent marks. Sujit had scored 85 percent marks in class 10. Last year his mother was diagnosed with cancer, she is undergoing treatment at AIIMS Patna.

Kota Cares: PG Operator did Not Take Rent for Two Years

Sujit said that our financial condition is not good and studying in Kota was like a dream but somehow I mustered courage and came to Kota. The people of Kota are very good and supportive. While staying in a PG in Talwandi, Kota for the last two years, i could barely pay the rent two or three times only.

The owner of the PG had told me to study and not worry about the rent. The pg owner said to him “The day when you will become an engineer, let me know, that would the rent for me”, he said. Similarly, when I did not have money to pay the fees, Allen gave a 70 percent discount on the fees. I have been paying the fees like this for two-three years.

Kota Changed My Life Like This, The Eldest Brother Ran Away from Home

The story of three sons of a labourer family becoming engineers started in the year 2016. When the eldest son Rajneesh came to Kota without telling anyone with a dream of becoming an engineer. Rajneesh told that the family was not in a position to send him to Kota, so father flatly refused. I did not know much about Kota but I knew that the Kota-Patna train goes to Kota.

So I ran away from home with five hundred rupees in my pocket and came to Kota. I don’t remember, but I probably didn’t even buy a train ticket. I just took the risk and got on the train. After coming here, I asked people and reached Allen’s Samanvay building. Here I met Santosh Sir and RK Khangar Sir. I explained the situation to them.

They got me placed in a hostel. The hostel operator also did not ask for rent. I studied in coaching for two months like this, after which grandfather arranged for the money. After this, in the year 2019, Rajneesh also came to Kota with his youngest brother Sujit. At that time Sujit was in 9th class.

While living in Kota, Rajneesh guided his middle brother Mrityunjay and also sent him study material, from which Mrityunjay studied. In the year 2020, Rajneesh took JEE Main and qualified for Advanced but did not get a college due to low rank.

In such a situation, on the basis of JEE Main, he took admission in the mechanical branch of Nalanda College of Engineering. After this, in the year 2022, Mrityunjay also took admission in the Electrical Branch of Nalanda College of Engineering.

Left B.Tech midway due to mother’s illness

Sujit’s elder brother Rajneesh Kumar said that we are three brothers and a sister. I am the eldest and I was doing B.Tech from an engineering college in Patna. Due to mother’s illness, I had to leave B.Tech midway but I am teaching Sujit and the middle brother.

When Sujit used to stay at home, he used to go to cut grass, graze cows and was busy in other household chores but was smart in studies. When he was in 8th class, he used to solve 10th class trigonometry. Seeing this, I talked to father and with great difficulty convinced him to send Sujit to Kota.
