Today is the Second Mock Seat Allocation for suitable candidates
Joint counseling has been started by JoSAA for 37952 seats of 100 colleges of the country, including 11279 seats of 23 IITs, 31 NIT’s 16800 seats, 23 IIIT’s 4023 seats and 4683 seats of 23 GFTI. Students can opt for online registration and various college branches till 5 pm, 25 June 2018. The Second Mock seat allocation of Joint Counseling will be released at 10 a.m. today. In the first mock seat allocation issued in the past, a total of 1 lakh 9 thousand 403 students filled 69 lakh 9 thousand 614 choices. This year, JoSAA counseling will be conducted in seven rounds. In this counseling, students have the option of filling choices for 643 programs in 100 colleges. The first round seat allocation will be announced on June 27. All the Frequently-asked-questions related to the counseling has been released on the JoSAA website. After the first round seat allocation, the students will have to report on the reporting center between June 28 and July 2, with all the necessary documents. List of Reporting Centers has been made available on the website.
JoSAA website has also issued a list of necessary documents for reporting after college allocation, according to which the students will have to bring class 10th and 12th mark sheets, three photographs, provisional allotment Letter, undertaking form, seat acceptance fee receipt, a photo ID, JEE-Main and JEE-Advanced admit card, Score cards, medical certificates and category certificates along with them. This year, students of OBC will have to carry their own category certificate which is being issued after 1st of April 2018. The formats of OBC, SC-ST related documents have also been uploaded on the website.
