Varsha Gaikwad, the State School Education Minister Maharashtra, announced the Secondary School Certificate (SSC-Class 10) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC-Class 12) examination dates.

The education department has stated that the SSC (Class 10) oral and practical examinations will be from 25 February to 14 March. The written SSC examination will be from 15 March and 18 April 2022.

The oral and practical examination of Class 12th (HSC-Class 12) will be held from 14 February 2022 to 3 March. The written examination for HSC will be held from 4 March 2022 to 7 April 2022.

The Maharashtra Board examinations 2022 will be organized with a delay of nearly two weeks from yesteryears due to the Covid-19 pandemic and its lockdown. The Maharashtra Board delayed the examination to help the schools finish the class 10 & class 12 courses since Covid-19 closed schools during Covid-19 lockdowns.

Amid the raging threat of the Omicron variant of Covid-19 in Maharashtra, the Maharashtra Education Department has categorically made it clear that the examinations will be held in offline mode. The board had tweaked the curriculum by 25% due to Covid-19.

The Maharashtra Board Examination will be conducted with the reduced syllabus

However, the students of Maharashtra have started expressing concern over conducting the SSC and HSC examinations in offline mode due to the possibility of a third wave of Covid-19 in the coming months.
