Candidates who did not get their name in the first allotment list can now check the second allotment merit list on the official website, www.mcc.nic.in.
The Supreme Court on Wednesday declared their mandate on NEET Second Allotment results. Earlier, the result was put on hold in compliance with the directions of Madras High Court. The choice filling and locking process will be started soon for the second phase of the All India NEET counseling. Once the seat is allotted in the second round of counseling, students lose the option to leave or resign the seat.
After the second round, the remaining seats will be transferred to the state quota. MCC will conduct a final session of counseling between 10th and 11th August. The candidates who have been allotted seats in this round will have to report to their respective medical colleges.
Candidates who are already registered but are not allotted seat in the second round, need not re-register or pay again for the third round. New registration facility will be available for other candidates. The choices submitted in the first round will be treated as null and void and fresh choices will have to be made for seat allotment in the third round. If the candidate is allotted a seat, they will have to bear a forfeiture of Rs. 10,000 (security fees) within two days of publishing of result. The student shall then report to the allotted institutes.
