NEET 2020 : India’s largest medical entrance exam tomorrow. Check guidelines issued by NTA.

NEET-UG 2020, the country’s largest medical entrance examination to be conducted by the National Testing Agency, will be held on Sunday from 2 to 5 pm.

Career Counseling Expert of Allen Career Institute said that the exam is being conducted in 155 selected cities in India, for which 15 lakh 97 thousand 433 candidates have registered. The exam will be held at 3842 exam centers in 155 cities. The examination will be completely in pen and paper mode. This exam will be for about 1.25 lakh seats of MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BYMS, BUMS, BVSC courses. Admissions to reputed medical colleges like AIIMS and JIPMER will also be done through this examination.

Candidates should keep these things in mind

Mishra said that according to the guidelines issued by the NTA, first complete the admit card cum declaration of the examination, in which the candidate should get photo (as uploaded in the application form) and left hand thumb impression, parent’s signature.

In addition, the examinees also brought a photo of themselves. This photo should also be the same as that placed on the admit card. This photo will be used to paste on the attendance sheet.

ID to carry

Mishra told that the candidates should bring any one of these IDs such as Aadhar card, driving license, PAN card, voter card or the admit card of class 12, which contains the photo of the examination. Photo copy will not be valid under any circumstances. Students will also be given a pen at the center itself. Personal transparent water bottle, 50 ml personal hand sanitizer bottle, and if handicap, one has to carry the relevant certificates.

Dress Code

Mishra told that any light color dress can be worn by the examinee. Students can wear trousers or paint that have no metal buttons and can wear half-shirts or T-shirts. Girls can wear salwar kurtas, leggings, paint or trousers, T-shirts and kurtis. No one should have metal buttons. High heel sandals/shoes on the feet are prohibited, can wear normal sleepers or normal shoes. Do not go wearing jewelery or metal items like amulets, bracelets.

Prohibited Items

Carrying electronic devices such as calculators, mobile phones, watches, and Bluetooth devices is prohibited in the examination. Apart from the admit card, no paper can be carried. Admission at the examination center will start from 11 am and will run till 1.30 pm. All the candidates have been given different reporting time on the admit card, according to that, reach the examination center so that the social distancing is maintained and there is no crowd.

Precautions at the examination center

Candidate has to sanitize their hands on a touch free sanitizer machine in the examination center. The new mask will be given at the center, although the candidate must be admitted to the examination center with his own mask and surgical gloves at the center.

Instructions for Exam Hall

Primarily fill your roll number, paper code, question paper booklet number, personal details on OMR sheet most carefully. While filling the oval, the ink of the pen should not overlap the other oval, nor make OMR dirty by spreading. Do not even cut, overwrite and erase.

According to the guidelines released by the NTA this year, both the main OMR sheet and the office copy of the OMR sheet have to be submitted to the invigilator, which is enclosed with the main OMR sheet.

After the exam is over, the admit card will have to be given to the examiner. If any problem arises, please inform the examiner immediately. Do not discuss with any other student on your own. Even after the examination is over, come out scattered and do not gather together and discuss, maintain social distancing.
