NEET 2021 Latest Update: Exam Date Released, Online Application Process Starting from 13th July

NEET (UG) 2021 will be conducted on 12th September 2021 across the country.

  • NEET (UG) 2021 application forms will be released at 5 pm on 13th July at the NTA website(s).
  • COVID-19 protocols will be followed at the exam centres to ensure the safety of students.

 

On Monday, Dharmendra Pradhan, the new Education Minister, announced that the NEET (UG) 2021 will be held on 12th September across the country following Covid-19 protocols. The application process will begin on Tuesday (13th July) from 5 pm. The information was made live by the minister via a thread on Twitter.

Mr. Pradhan said that the number of examination centres will be increased from the 3,862 used last year.

 

He tweeted, “In order to ensure social distancing norms, number of cities where examination will be conducted has been increased from 155 to 198. The number of examination centres will also be increased from the 3862 centres used in 2020.”

 

Mr. Pradhan further added that a face mask will be provided to all candidates at the exam centres to ensure adherence to Covid-19 standards.

“To ensure adherence to COVID-19 protocols, face mask will be provided to all candidates at the centre. Staggered time slots during entry and exit, contactless registration, proper sanitisation, seating with social distancing etc. will also be ensured,” the minister added.
