Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan interacted with the students at Allen Career Institute during his visit to Kota. The program took place at the Allen Satyarth Campus located in Jawahar Nagar, where a large number of students from Odisha as well as other states of the country participated. Along with the Union Minister Pradhan, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla was also present in the program. The program started with the lighting of the lamp. After this Director, Allen Career Institute, Naveen Maheshwari delivered the welcome address. On this occasion, Allen Directors, Dr. Govind Maheshwari, Rajesh Maheshwari, Naveen Maheshwari, and Brajesh Maheshwari, and the students welcomed the Union Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan and the Speaker of Lok Sabha by offering 51 kg of garland. Student Smriti performed the state anthem of Odisha ‘Vande Utkal Janani’.
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said that Kota, which is the Kashi of education and also is a mini India, attracts students from all over the country for the accomplishment of their dreams. Students will get new confidence and new inspiration from this interaction. Students can start a new career from Kota to accomplish life goals.
When Dharmendra Pradhan was invited, he encouraged students for direct communication as soon as he took over the mic. He asked the students to speak freely. On this occasion, more than a dozen students expressed their views regarding the entrance examinations.
Allen students raised their questions regarding organizing NEET UG twice a year like JEE-Main, plans of the merger of CUET, JEE, and NEET UG, reservations in entrance examinations, and special syllabus books for preparation for the entrance examination.
After this, Pradhan started his address by calling the students as responsible friends of the 21st century and said that Kota is the Kashi of Modern India and a Mini India. There are students from every district here. You all are the future leaders of the country. Today’s youth should develop thinking to take India to greater heights. The world is looking toward India with great hope. The new generation should understand the challenges and duties, and should also give a chance to the backward, who cannot speak for themselves, for moving forward by holding their hands. Students should consider positive choices as their duties instead of a burden. Keep your thinking big, think of becoming a master, not a servant. Think of working for family, society, and country. I believe in us more than me.
Clearing the confusion of the students, he said that the in-principle decision of merging CUET, NEET, and JEE has not been taken yet. There is no such proposal as of now, it will not happen next year also. Whenever it will be done, it will be done with prior notice. The combined test system will not be started in at least the next two years. Relax and concentrate on your studies.
Regarding the preparations for the competitive examination, he said that the idea of transforming school education into a new structure is being brought to the ground in the National Education Policy. By February 2023, books will be prepared for KG School Bal Vatika 1, 2, 3, and then class-1 and 2, followed by classes 3 to 5, classes 6 to 8, and then for 4 years from classes 9 to 12. He asked ALLEN students to give their suggestions in the National Curriculum Framework Citizen Survey, and share views about the ideal books.
Pradhan said that the National Education Policy will prove to be a milestone in the reconstruction of the country. He said that school education is being brought into a new structure. He said that the students studying in Kota should visit the National Citizen Framework Survey and offer their valuable suggestions about the curriculum. Your suggestions will be considered by the government and the education policy will become very strong. The government is also working on the digital university.
On the question of discrepancies in the examination, he said that there is a fear of examination. As technology becomes more effective, we will reduce errors. We are trying to conduct the examination in a better way. In the coming days, we will bring digital universities in which students will be able to do multiple types of courses at a time.
