The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened the correction window for allowing corrections in the online application form of the JEE Main 2026 Session 2. This decision has been taken in the interest of students who made any errors while applying or wish to amend their details.

JEE (Main) 2026 Session 2 Correction Dates

The application form correction period for the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2026 Session 2 has been set from February 27, 2026, to February 28, 2026 (until 11:50 PM). No corrections will be accepted after the deadline.

Therefore, candidates are advised not to wait until the last minute and to check their application details and make necessary corrections well in advance.

It is also worth noting that the last date for submitting online applications for JEE (Main) 2026 Session 2 is February 25, 2026, and no extension will be granted.

Which candidates will be eligible for corrections?

This correction facility is available to two categories of candidates: first, those who have applied afresh for Session 2. Second, those who registered during Session 1 and have also applied for Session 2.

Candidates in both categories can make the necessary corrections to their application form within the stipulated dates.

All registered candidates are advised to carefully verify their details by visiting the official website [https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/]. If any errors are found, they can be corrected during the correction window.

Which particulars can be corrected?

Existing candidates i.e. candidates who are already registered during the registration period of JEE (Main) -2026 Session 1 (31 October to 27 November 2025) and who have also applied for Session 2 (01 February to 25 February 2026 Candidates can amend the following details:

Course (paper), medium of question paper, State code of eligibility, exam city as per available options, Class 10th and 12th educational qualification details, gender, category, fee payment (if applicable) and identity details-only for candidates who have registered with registered using an identity card other than Aadhaar). Correction in these fields will be applicable only after payment of an additional fee, if any.

Details that cannot be changed

For new candidates, who applied for Session 2 only during the period from 01 February to 25 February 2026, cCertain important information is not allowed to be amended.

These include mobile number, email address, permanent and current address, emergency contact details, and uploaded photo.

However, such candidates can make changes to name-related details, such as the candidate’s name or father’s or mother’s name, only once.

Such Candidates shall be allowed to change/add all the following fields: Educational qualification details (Class 10th and Class 12th), State Code of Eligibility, Date of Birth, Gender, Category, Sub-category / PwD (If not verified by UDID Portal), Signature and paper

Such Candidates can also change the exam city selection and medium of examination based on their permanent and current address.

Those Candidates who have registered using an identity card other than Aadhaar are allowed to update their Aadhaar details. This facility may also be applicable subject to an additional fee.

One-time Opportunity

NTA has clarified that this correction facility is being made available only once. Once the form is submitted with corrections, the application form will be frozen and no further changes will be possible.

Therefore, candidates should check all details very carefully before making the final submission.
