Following the decision of the Supreme Court, the impending JEE and NEET-UG 2020 exams are now to be conducted in the month of September, as per the earlier schedule.
It is to be noted that Supreme Court had earlier ruled out the plea demanding further postponement of the JEE and NEET exams. Ever since the decision, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has been preparing to conduct the examination abiding by all the COVID-19 safety protocols.
NTA has now issued an official notification stating the names of the cities with allotted examination centres for NEET 2020. Students can visit the website ntaneet.nic.in and login to the site using their registration number and password to know the allocated cities.
NTA also specified that the admit card for NEET 2020 shall will released soon. The NEET 2020 exam was earlier postponed due to the rise in COVID-19 cases. However, now the exam will be held on September 13, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Students and parents have also been advised to keep a track of all the latest updates through nta.ac.in
In case of any query or doubt, they can even call on the helpline numbers issued by the agency: 8287471852, 8178359845, 9650173668, 9599676953 and 8882356803 for NEET exam.
For the uninitiated, the NEET 2020 exam was earlier scheduled for May 3, 2020. Seeing the surge in Coronavirus cases and the lockdown, the same was postponed to July 26. However, the dates got postponed once again due to the high number of cases across the country. This time it was scheduled to be held on September 13. But the plea filed in the Supreme Court for further postponement made way for further anxiety & perplexment amongst students and parents.
All the uncertainty built around the exams has now been cleared and NTA is ensuring its best to conduct the NEET and JEE exams in a safe environment so that students get to appear for these coveted competitive exams without any stress.
