All India Open Mathematics Scholarship Examination
Mathematics Scholarship Examination is a Competitive Examination conducted by the Institute for Promotion of Mathematics for various standards where the mathematical skills, mental ability, calculation speed, critical analysis and accuracy of a child & application of short-cut methods are tested.
ASSET Stands for Assessment of Scholastic Skills through Educational Testing. It is a scientifically designed, skill-based assessment test. Rather than testing rote learning, through multiple-choice questioning, it focuses on measuring how well SKILLS and CONCEPTS underlying the school syllabus have been learnt by the student. The test provides information on the strengths and weaknesses of individual students and also entire classes.
This Geography Olympiad is intended to supplement the geography instructions students receive in their schools including Indian and world geography and to help them in preparing for higher competitive exams at national and international levels. The Olympiad will be conducted every year in two Phases. In the Phase I, children will participate at their respective schools throughout the country, during the month of December. In Phase II participants with high scores, based on cut-off will be invited to the National Finals in April.
