Registration Opens for 54th NMTC Contest

Last date of registration is 1st October 2022

The registrations for the prestigious National Mathematics Talents Contest (NMTC) have been started. The last date of registration for NMTC is 1st October 2022. NMTC is conducted by the Association of Mathematics Teachers of India, Chennai.

What is NMTC?

NMTC Examination is conducted in two levels; Prelims and Finals. The prelims stage is conducted by participating schools and the examination venue is the respective schools. The respective schools select the top 10% of students based on the Preliminary test performance. While in the final level, only the candidates selected by the respective schools participate.

Eligibility

Students from schools, junior colleges of all boards, degree colleges, and Technical institutions in India can participate in the contest. The students have been divided into several groups. Students of classes 5 and 6 are in the primary group, classes 7 and 8 students are in a sub-junior group, classes 9 and 10 are in the Junior group, classes 11 and 12 students are in the Intergroup, and Degree classes in Arts, Science, and technical institutions fall under Senior group.

Examination Schedule

Stage-1 Prelims will be held on 15th October (Saturday, 2 pm to 4 pm) whereas Stage-2 final will be tentatively held on 7th Juan 2023 (Saturday-1 pm to 4 pm). The results will be declared by the end of April 2023.

Rewards

Cash rewards to the top 3 winners in each level at the finals which include Rs 5000 for 1st position, RS 2500 for the 2nd position and Rs 1250 for the 3rd position. The Examination fee is Rs. 150.

Institutions

  • Download the Institution-Data Consolidation sheet and Excel format from NMTC website-amtionline.com.
  • The school should fill up both institutions—Data consolidation sheet and excel format only. After this send it to AMTI through email support@amtionline.com along with the details of the transfer of the fee. Incomplete entries are not acceptable.
