Now the JEE Main 2023 Exam Will Continue Till 1st February Instead of 31st January
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released a revised schedule for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2023 session 1 (January Session) as per which there has been a change in the examination dates. Candidates can check the revised schedule for JEE Main 2023 on the official website – jeemain.nta.nic.in
Earlier the JEE Main examination was scheduled to be conducted from 24th January to 31st January but now the examination will begin on 24th January and will be over by 1st February.
Further, there will be no exam on January 27 and on January 28 and, there will be only one shift in the January 28 exam for paper 2 (BArch/Bplanning). The JEE Main 2023 Session 1 exam will be conducted on 24, 25, 29, 30, 31 January and 1 February 2023 for B.E./ B. Tech (Paper I, Shift 1st & Shift 2nd ) and 28 January (2nd Shift only) for B.Arch and B.Planning (Paper 2A & Paper 2B).
The Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main) comprises two papers. Paper 1 is conducted for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programs (B.E/B.Tech.) at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), and Institutions/Universities funded/recognized by participating State Governments. JEE (Main) is also an eligibility test for JEE (Advanced), which is conducted for admission to IITs. Paper 2 is conducted for admission to the country’s B. Arch and B. Planning courses.
The revised exam schedule has been issued to ensure that the JEE (Main) – 2023 does not interfere with the Board examinations, which may be held at different times across the States/UTs. JEE Main 2023 will be conducted at different Centres located in 290 cities throughout the country and 25 Cities outside India.
The JEE Main 2023 Session 2 will be held from 6th April t 12th April for which registrations would begin from 7th February.
