Schedule for the JEE Main I and II and NEET (UG) exam released

The NTA has released the schedule for various national examinations such as Joint Entrance Examination-Main (JEE-main) and National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) on Tuesday which are to be conducted in the following year.

The government has released the schedule for the JEE Main I and II, and NEET (UG) exam to be conducted by NTA till May 2019. The tentative schedule for the exams was released by the human resource and development (HRD) ministry at a press conference on July 7.

According to the new NTA announcement, NEET will be conducted in a single session (i.e. only once a year) and will be conducted in Offline Mode (pen and paper basis). The registrations will be open for candidates from 1st November to 30th November. The Admit card can be downloaded from 15th April 2019 onwards.

The exam will be conducted in the same number of languages as has been conducted last year on the request of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, who wanted the same pattern followed last year to be maintained.

The NEET exam is going to be held on May 5, 2019. Following which the results will be announced on June 5, 2019.


Also, according to the notification,

JEE Main-I exam will be a computer-based exam

This will be a computer-based examination for which candidates can register between September 1 and 30. The admit card for the examination can be downloaded from December 17. The exam will be held anytime between Jan 6 to Jan 20, 2019. The results for the same will be announced on Jan 31st, 2019.

JEE MAIN II will be a computer-based exam

JEE Main II will be a computer-based test. The candidates can register for this exam from Feb 8 to Mar 7, 2019.  The admit card for the examination can be downloaded from March 18. The exam will be held anytime between April 6 to April 20, 2019. The results for the same will be announced on April 30, 2019.
