Speculations are doing the round that the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is pondering over changing the Class 10, 12 exam schedules for the year 2021 given the COVID-19 pandemic.
It is to be noted that prior to this, CBSE had even postponed the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) given the pandemic situation. The CTET exam is now scheduled to be held on January 31, 2021.
The board also released sample papers along with marking scheme which led to the speculations that CBSE is thinking over conducting the exam on time. These latest sample papers are reportedly made as per the new reduced CBSE syllabus. With the help of these sample papers, students who are to appear in the board exam for 2021, will get to know the question format.
It has also been reported that CBSE is even planning to release the Date Sheet for Class 12, 2021, the CBSE Time Table 2021 in the upcoming days. This date sheet will have all the vital exam dates of 2021. Once the date sheet is officially released by CBSE, students will be able to check the exam dates on the website, cbse.nic.in
If reports are to be believed then the class 12 practical exam might also get cancelled by CBSE given the pandemic outbreak. For the uninitiated, CBSE had already shortened class 12 Practical Syllabus for 2020-21.
Further reports suggest that CBSE is thinking over either shortening the syllabus or delaying the exams by 45 to 60 days because normal classes were suspended across the country for over 6 months during the lockdown and the curbing of virus spread.
It is now to be seen what decision CBSE comes up with in regard to class 10 and 12 exams for 2021.
