Second day of JEE Main 2022 Session 2 (July attempt) Paper Analysis

JEE Main 2022 Session-2 (26th July, Shift 1 & 2) Question Paper Analysis by Dr. Brajesh Maheshwari, Director, ALLEN Career Institute

The JEE Main 2022 Session 2 (July attempt), which is country’s biggest engineering entrance exam for admission to BE-BTech course, was conducted in computer-based mode on Tuesday. JEE Main 2022 Session 2 examinations have commenced on 25th July and it was second day of the Session 2 exam. Director of Allen Career Institute Dr.  Brajesh Maheshwari Sir said that the analysis of the paper has been done on the basis of the feedback of the students and the response received on CSAT.  According to the information received from the students, some questions were easier in the paper on Tuesday as compared to Monday but the overall paper was difficult and lengthy.  Almost all the topics were covered in all the three subjects.  Students found some integer type questions tough and of advanced level. While 60% syllabus was covered from class 12th, 40 percent from class 11th.  Maths paper was the most lengthy among all the three subjects.

Physics

Physics paper was easy.  In which questions were asked from Thermodynamics, NLM, Principle of Communication, Semiconductor, Magnetic Field, SHM, Light Kinematics, Sound, Wave Optics, 2D and Error topics.  Apart from this, questions from Radioactivity, Diode and Current Electricity were also asked.

Chemistry

Chemistry paper was easy in the morning shift. In Physical Chemistry, questions were asked from Chemical Kinetics, Chemical Equilibrium, Thermochemistry, Electrochemistry and Mole Concept.  Similarly in organic chemistry questions were asked from Nitrogen Containing Compound, Grignard Regent, Chlorination of Benzene, Phenol, Chemistry in Everyday and Separation Technique Method. While in Inorganic Chemistry, questions were asked from Coordination Compounds and Block Chemistry etc. The difficulty level of the paper was moderate in the 2nd innings as well.  In which two questions were of Assertion Reasoning type.  There were questions from IUPAC Nomenclature, Reduction, Biomolecules, Phenol, Metallurgy, D-Block, P-Block, S-Block, Indicator, Surface Chemistry, Buffer Solution, Gascon plus Mol.  Apart from this, the calculation was of moderate level.

Maths

In the morning shift, the Maths paper was tougher than both the subjects.  Around 4-5 questions were of very difficult level.  Questions were asked from each topic.  40 percent questions were covered from the 11th class syllabus and 60 percent from the 12th class syllabus.  Integer type questions asked were of advanced level.  According to the students, this time the Maths paper will determine the rank.  The difficulty level of the paper was moderate in the 2nd innings as well.  Students got a lot help as questions were similar from Allen’s mock tests.  The level of about 20 percent questions was difficult, 20 percent easy and the difficulty level of 60 percent questions was moderate level.
