SOF OLYMPIADS- REVISED PATTERN OF QUESTIONS

Major changes have been made by SOF in the pattern of question papers in the SOF-Olympiad exams from this year.

The salient features of changes are as under:

LEVEL ONE

1. Questions will be less rigorous than last year.
2. The Achievers’ Section will continue to remain a challenging section. Questions in the Achievers’ Section will continue to have higher weightage than questions in other sections.
3. “Mental Ability” section in NCO & NSO is being removed. Questions from this section will be added to other sections.

Thus the question papers in LEVEL ONE would consist of (1)Reasoning Section, (2) Subject Section and (3) Achievers’ Section. This implies that focus will be on the subject .

LEVEL TWO

Level two will have (1)Subject Section and Achievers’ Section while Reasoning Section and Mental Ability Section are being removed.

The above changes will enable a student to focus on the subject matter only. Student will, thus, not only prepare better and perform better in the Olympiads but more importantly, evaluate herself/ himself on the specific subject.

The following link gives a section wise break up and marks for each question/section.
