Sunday of May 3, 2020 brought in immense happiness for the coaching students hailing from Bihar. After a long waited one month period of lockdown, students from Bihar finally got the chance of bidding farewell to the career city Kota and reuniting with their families.
From last month, students and their parents were requesting the government to provide essential provisions to return home. To reach out to the State Government and Central Government, students took to social media using various campaigns.
Understanding the concerns of students, ALLEN Career Institute also appealed to the state government of Bihar to help evacuate the students at the earliest.
The joint efforts of state governments, district administration, and ALLEN Career Institute finally produced results and a special arrangement was made to help students travel back home. Under this provision, the Bihar government allotted three trains to bring back the students from Kota city, which will regularly function from May 3 to May 6, 2020.
On the first day i.e. Sunday, three trains departed from Kota carrying students of ALLEN Career Institute and other coaching centers to different areas of Bihar.
Two trains departed on May 3, 2020 at 12 and 3:45 PM carrying 1211 students of Begusarai and 1050 students of Barauni. The third train departed for Gaya at 9:30 PM carrying 994 students.
Thus, in the first phase, a total number of 3252 students boarded the trains to their respective places in Bihar. In the coming days, more than 10 thousand students of Bihar will be successfully sent home.
Boarding the train on Sunday, students of 13 cities of Bihar returned home. The two trains that departed from platform number 1 of Kota railway station, carried students from Banka, Begusarai, Bhagalpur, Jamui, Khagaria, Lakhisarai, Munger, Sheikhpura, while the third train departed to Arwal, Aurangabad, Gaya, Jehanabad, and Nawada.
In these tough times, the ALLEN family has ensured that no student feels left out. ALLEN team rendered every possible support to the students and arranged the best facilities to send them home. While sending the students of Bihar, ALLEN team took care of everything; right from picking students from their PG to dropping them at the station, taking care of sanitization at the station, thermal scanning, carrying their luggage and providing them with food items for the journey, ALLEN members did everything with utmost love and care. The whole process was personally monitored by ALLEEN director Naveen Maheshwari. Around 300 ALLEN members have been working day and night to ensure the safety of students and their successful journey back home.
While sending the students home, Naveen Maheshwari, director of ALLEN Career Institute, shared a few words of wisdom with the students. He explained the entire ‘Homecoming’ process to the students and informed them about the availability of trains. As the district administration has been messaging all the students as per the capacity of the train, to make the journey accessible; Shri Naveen Maheshwari advised students to stay patient and leave from their respective homes in Kota only after receiving the message from the District Collector. He assured the students that the Government of Rajasthan, Government of Bihar, Kota District Administration, and ALLEN will do everything possible to send every student home conveniently and safely.
Students praised Kota city for its impeccable education system and said that they will surely miss the studies. As they bid farewell to their favorite coaching city, they also promised to be back soon once the lockdown is lifted. They hailed Kota as the ideal career city and stated that there is no other institute like ALLEN.
District Collector Om Kasera, Superintendent of Police Gaurav Yadav and Director of ALLEN Career Institute Naveen Maheshwari reached Kota station to bid farewell to the students. Students were highly excited and they showed their happiness by clapping and shouting slogans like ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’, ‘Thank you, Kota, Thank you ALLEN’. The officials too joined in the excitement and everyone present at the station bid them goodbye with claps and cheers.
31 thousand students have left for their home so far in the past 16 days and many have reached their homes. Students hailed from 21 states and 4 centers governed states of the country. Let’s have a look at the state-wise number of students who left for their homes amidst this period of lockdown.

Expressing their gratitude, student Amarjeet Kumar from Bihar said, “Thanks Kota, Thank you ALLEN, see you again. With the efforts of everyone, especially with the support of the ALLEN Career Institute, we are going to Bihar today. We waited a lot, voiced many places and we got full support from Alan. Very happy today that I will be among my family soon.”
Another student, Nisha Bharti from Bihar shared, “During the lockdown in Kota, the ALLEN Students Welfare Society helped a lot but all students went home, so there was loneliness. Parents were also upset by the news of Corona’s infection. Today, with the support of everyone, I finally got a chance to go home. Thank you, Kota, Thank you ALLEN, see you again”.
We are glad that students were able to reach their homes safely during these times of pandemic. And as ALLEN Digital classes have been taking care of online studies with perfection, we are happy that students will continue studying safely at their home while we work towards sending the remaining students home.
