Why Students Choose Lower Branch Of Top IITs
Upto AIR 8000, in addition to the core branches of the Top 7 IITs, students give more priority to lower branches of the 7 Top IITs, than the core branches of other IITs core branches because there is a competitive environment in top 7 IITs, due to which students can achieve their all-round development.
In addition to their own branch, students also get the opportunity to take other branches as a minor in IITs due to which student take minor subjects of Computer science to learn coding, and programming to strengthen their profile, as these IITs gives priority to big placement companies.
Due to this, the students here get placement in good companies. Companies also come in more numbers for job placement in these Top IITs as compared to other IITs, which gives opportunity to the children of every field for placement.
Apart from this, the option of changing the branch is also available to the students in the top-7 IITs on the basis of their performance in the first year, due to which many students get upgraded to the core branch and good branches in the second year. In view of this, students take admission in the lower branch as well, giving priority to the campus of top-7 IITs. IIT BHU has provision for branch change after first semester.
