Students Praise Kota for the Homely Care, Promise to be Back Soon to Fulfill Their Dreams after Lockdown

  • Students leave for homes with the promise of coming back soon
  • In awe of ALLEN Students Welfare Society
  • 2361 students of Bihar’s Madhubani, Darbhanga and Patna departed in 2 trains
  • So far 5616 students of ALLEN Career Institute and other coaching centers have departed for Bihar

Amidst the nationwide lockdown, students of Kota city were relieved when the state governments, in collaboration with ALLEN Career Institute chalked out accessible ways of sending students to their respective places.

The first phase of sending Bihar students started on May 3. Following the same, 2361 students travelled in two trains on Monday, May 4, 2020. The first train departed at 12:20, carrying 1216 students to Madhubani and Darbhanga. The next train to Patna, carrying 1145 students departed at 9:00 PM.

On May 5, ‘Homecoming’ of students will continue as per the schedule. One train will leave from platform number 1 at 11 AM for Katihar, Araria, Kishanganj and Purnia. Another train will leave for Muzaffarpur, Sitamarhi and Vaishali at 9 PM.

ALLEN’s Successful Efforts to Control Auto Fare

To make the commute to railway station reasonable and control high auto fares charged from students, ALLEN intervened timely and ensured that students aren’t made to pay heavy price. ALLEN Students Welfare Society spoke to the auto union and the fare was fixed to a maximum of 150 rs. Students are even given the facility of registering for the commute at ALLEN Student Welfare Society office.

ALLEN Students Welfare Society Playing a Phenomenal Role

In these tough times, ALLEN Student Welfare Society has played a crucial role in helping the students in all possible ways. More than 200 members of the ALLEN Staff, Vigilance Team, and CPO are working efficiently under the direction of ASWS. The team started distributing food packets to students at their hostels, right after the lockdown from March 23. More than 3 lakh food items and 30 thousand packets of snacks have been distributed so far. The team even distributed food packets to ALLEN as well as other coaching students travelling to their homes via train.

ASWS team has been involved in each activity; personally monitored by ALLEN director Shri Naveen Maheshwari. Some of the vital activities undertaken by ASWS during this evacuation include:

  • Pick-up & drop at the railway station as per the scheduled time
  • Luggage carrying of students to respective coaches by ALLEN Swachhta Brigade
  • Ensuring proper sanitization of the station, coaches and even students
  • Thermal scanning of every student
  • Providing masks, food products, refreshments and water bottles for the journey
  • Guiding students on the importance of social distancing

Students Show Positive Spirit

Covid-19 may have halted lives but it has certainly failed to crush the spirits of Kota coaching students. While travelling back home, students have shown great positivity with the promise of coming back soon once the lockdown is lifted. They are eager to resume their studies in Kota and fulfill their dreams of cracking the prestigious medical and engineering exams. They are highly grateful to ALLEN Career Institute, which stood by them like a family and took complete care of their needs. Students thanked ALLEN Students Welfare Society for all their support.

Speaking of this ‘Homecoming’ endeavor by ALLEN, student Nidhi from Patna shared, “I’m very happy to finally go home. All this has been possible only due to the efforts of ALLEN. We waited for a long time, felt alone here but ALLEN gave us support and made way to help us reunite with our families.  I want students to come to Kota for studies as this city makes everything possible”.

Another student from Patna, Amrit Kumar shared, “We had been trying to go home for long. Special thanks to the Government of Bihar, Government of Rajasthan, and Kota for helping. During the lockdown in Kota, the ALLEN Students Welfare Society helped a lot but all students went home, so there was loneliness. Parents were also upset by the news of Corona’s infection. But now we will get to be among family members”.

We are glad to see students reaching their homes safely and we hope that they will continue fighting this pandemic with the same spirit of positivity and not let their studies take a pause.

We are glad that students were able to reach their homes safely during these times of pandemic. And as ALLEN Digital classes have been taking care of online studies with perfection, we are happy that students will continue studying safely at their home while we work towards sending the remaining students home.
