Losing my Parents was a setback, but I was dedicated towards my target

The Story of Jatin Arora, who despite of all odds, became an IITian

In the words of Jatin:

“I belong to a family with humble background. My mother passed away when I was just 8. My father was a teacher in Ratiya Town of Fatehabad District in Haryana and hence I completed my studies till class 8^th there. After which my father passed away and suddenly I was left alone. However, I had the support of my Grandmother who showered love and care upon me tremendously. It is then when I decided to pursue my dreams. I secured 95% in my 10^th preceding which my cousin brought me to Kota for further studies.

Here at ALLEN, I got 70% Scholarship. I realized the amount of competition here and hence I decided to pursue my further studies for 2 years in Kota. I kept very ill during my 11^th class but I kept on working hard in 12^th. After much dedication and will power, I bagged AIR 3308 in IIT JEE. I took admission for B.Tech in IIT Guwahati in Engineering Physics. I also completed a 3 month internship from Spain.

After completing my B.Tech. in 2015, I got an offer from Axtria Gurgaon as a Data Analyst, which I took and started preparing for UPSC since then. I like to follow Law and Order and hence I want to become an IPS officer. I believe that to do something good, you need a certain power, and only then you will be able to eradicate the evil.”

ALLEN became the 2^nd home for me

Jatin further added “Here at ALLEN, the competitive environment I got, helped me become a better person. I give the credit of my selection in IIT to ALLEN Career Institute. I used to study with utmost concentration in class and kept myself motivated with different inspirational stories. I didn’t miss my home much because my teachers and my classmates at ALLEN became my family. Later, at IIT Guwahati too I got full support and proper guidance from the fellow ALLENites who were pursuing their B.Tech there. Apart from my regular studies, I like to play guitar and sing songs during my free time. I also have a keen interest in Athletics. “
