CUET UG Exam 2025 will be held in CBT Mode
UGC has announced several key changes to the CUET Exams 2025 . The CUET UG exams will be conducted in CBT mode from year 2025 onwards.
The examination would be held for a term of 60 minutes. The number of subjects for the exam has been changed.
Here are the Major changes
The University Grants Commission has released several changes for the CUET UG Exam 2025. UGC had constituted an expert committee which has suggested the changes for the CUET UG and PG exams.
The UGC has decided to shift from the earlier hybrid examination mode to the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. Examination duration for all the subjects will be the same, which is 60 minutes.
The number of subjects for the CUET UG 2025 will be 37 subjects while the subject selection will be 5 subjects. The number of subjects has been decreased from 63 to 37 and admissions for the dropped subjects will be conducted on the scores of the General Aptitude Test (GAT)
As far as eligibility is concerned, student can choose any discipline. As per the suggestions given, UGC will discharge the draft proposition sketching out the reexamined rules for CUET 2025.
Candidates from this year onwards will be permitted to choose subjects that they might not have taken in Class 12. This move is brought in to provide opportunity to the students to discover other disciplines for higher education.
CUET will presently be conducted for 60 minutes. Prior, the exams were conducted between 45 to 60 minutes depending on the subject chosen.
