Till now the Highest Number of Candidates have Appeared in JEE Main 2025
The country’s largest engineering entrance exam JEE Main (BE-BTech) was conducted this year in 10 shifts between 22 to 29 January and in 9 shifts between 2 to 8 April in the month of April.
This year, more than 15 lakh students appeared in JEE Main exam in history, including both the shifts. The results of the exam is expected to be released on April 17 along with the All India Rank.
Tie-Breaker Method to decide AIR Rank-1
Career counseling expert of ALLEN Career Institute said that many students are sure to come on All India Rank-1 in the JEE Main 2025 results. The reason for this is the method of tie on the same total NTA score of two students.
According to the information released by NTA, if there is a tie on the total NTA score of two students, first priority will be given to the NTA score of Mathematics, if there is a tie in this, then Physics, then the rank based on the NTA score of Chemistry. In case of a tie in all the above subjects, the ratio of the marks obtained by the students for the total correct and wrong answers will be seen.
After this situation, the ratio of the marks of correct and wrong answers of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry will be seen respectively. If there is a tie in all the above situations, a uniform All India Rank of the students will be released. In such a situation, AIR-1 will be released for the students whose perfect score is 300 out of 300.
All India Rank will be released like this
In the results released for the April session of JEE-Main, the All India Rank of the students, category rank as well as eligibility to take the Advanced exam will also be released. To declare the All India Rank, the higher NTA score of the students in January and April sessions will be taken.
The All India Rank will be declared only on the basis of higher NTA score in 7 decimals. Along with the All India Rank, the category rank of the student to which he belongs will be declared.
The eligibility to appear for Advanced will be declared on the basis of the student’s higher NTA score in 7 decimals in January and April. The eligibility to appear for Advanced will differ on the basis of category. Only around 2.5 lakh top selected students on the basis of JEE Main will be eligible to appear for Advanced.
