Know Important Details and Schedule
The counselling process for admission to BS-MS, BS and B.Tech courses at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) has commenced from today, 26th June 2025.
Students who appeared in the IAT 2025 exam and have secured All India Rank (AIR) or Category Rank can participate in this counselling process.
The registration process started from 5 pm on 26th June and will run till 3rd July 2025. Candidates will have to fill the online form on the official website for registration.
This time the counselling process will be conducted completely online and there is no need to appear in person at any IISER institute.

Important Points Related to Counseling Process
- Eligibility: Only those candidates who have secured rank in IAT 2025 will be eligible for counseling.
- Registration: It is mandatory to register by visiting the official portal.
- Seat Allocation: The seat allocation list will be released based on the availability of total seats and the number of registrations.
- Admission List: The admission list will be released in four rounds. A new list will be prepared based on the vacant seats in each round.
How to Check Admission Seat Allotment Status
Seat allotment information in IISER can be obtained by following the following steps:
- Login to your IISER account.
- Click on the respective channel tab. If you have applied through more than one channel, make sure to check each channel.
- Go to the “Edit/View” tab.
- After this the “Decision-Making” tab will appear, click on it.
Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF) Details
Candidates have to pay Seat Acceptance Fee to accept the seat after receiving the admission offer. This fee is determined category wise as follows:

IMPORTANT: Non-payment of SAF within the stipulated time will automatically result in cancellation of seat offer of the candidate and he/she will not be considered for any further rounds.
ADJUSTMENT IN FIRST SEMESTER
Once you are finally registered in one of the IISER institutes, the SAF fee deposited will be adjusted in your first semester fees.
