NTA has released an official notification regarding online application corrections
Important information regarding JEE-Main 2026 has been released for millions of candidates across the country.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the dates for the first and second sessions of JEE-Main, the largest engineering entrance exam, along with specific deadlines for application corrections.
JEE-Main 2026: Key Exam and Application Dates
First Session: January 21st to January 30th, 2026
Second Session: April 1st to April 9th, 2026
Application Deadline: November 27th
More than 9.5 lakh students have applied so far.
Applications for Session 2 will open in February.
When and how can application form corrections be made?
According to education expert at Allen Career Institute, the NTA has released an official notification regarding online application corrections.
Students will be able to make necessary changes to their application forms on December 1st and 2nd. The correction window will remain active until 11:50 pm on December 2nd.
What information can be changed?
During the correction process, students can make changes to the following details:
Name
Father’s and Mother’s Name
Class 10th and 12th Information
PAN Card Details
Exam City
Medium of Examination
Date of Birth
Gender
Category and Sub-Category
Signature
Subject Related to Question Paper
These details cannot be changed.
Students cannot update the following details:
Mobile Number
Email ID
Current and Permanent Address
Emergency Contact Details
Uploaded Photograph
One Opportunity for Correction
NTA has clarified that only one opportunity will be available to make corrections to the application. If students freeze the form after making corrections, they cannot make corrections again, even within the deadline.
Upon completion of corrections, students can confirm their modified information by downloading a new confirmation page.
