JEE Advanced 2026 Registration Starts on April 23; Exam on May 17

- The online registration process for JEE Advanced 2026 will begin on April 23, 2026, and will continue until May 2, 2026.
- The application fee submission deadline is May 4, 2026.
- Admit Card Release Date: May 11, 2026
- Exam Date: May 17, 2026
- Provisional Answer Key Released: May 25, 2026
- Last Date to File Objections to Answer Key: May 26, 2026
- Final Answer key and Result Declared: June 1, 2026
- JoSAA Counseling Begins: June 2, 2026
- JEE Advanced 2026 Exam Pattern
- The JEE Advanced 2026 exam will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. The exam will be conducted in two compulsory papers:
- Paper 1: 9 AM to 12 PM
- Paper 2: 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM
- The duration of both papers will be three hours each. It is mandatory for candidates to appear for both papers.
Eligibility Criteria
- Only candidates who have passed the JEE Main 2026 exam and secured a rank in the top 2.5 lakh can apply for JEE Advanced 2026. Furthermore:
- Candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as subjects.
- A candidate can appear for the JEE Advanced exam a maximum of two times in two consecutive years.
Number of IIT Seats
According to last year’s data, approximately 18,160 seats are offered for admission through JEE Advanced. This includes all IITs across the country.

Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) 2026
The Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) 2026 will be conducted for candidates seeking admission to the B.Arch. course.
- AAT Registration: June 1 to June 2, 2026
- AAT Exam: June 4, 2026
- AAT Result: June 7, 2026
