Aggregate 60% marks in PCB & English Necessary for Admission in AIIMS New Delhi

AIIMS New Delhi has Released Its Prospectus for Admission into its MBBS Course

Details about admission eligibility, fees and other admission related information has been shared in the prospectus of the AIIMS, New Delhi. As per the prospectus, despite scoring qualifying All India Rank in the NEET UG 2024, examination.

The successful student from general category and OBC category also must have scored aggregate 60% marks in the Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subjects in class 12 for seeking admission in AIIMS New Delhi.

It means that although student of General and OBC category have scored top rank in the NEET UG 2024 but if he/she has not scored 60% marks in the PCB & English in class 12 then he will not get admission in AIIMS New Delhi.

While the score eligibility for the SC/ST candidates is 50% aggregate in PCB and English in Class 12 and 45% marks in PCB & English in class 12 for PWBD (Physical disabled) students. However, the NEET UG 2024 Eligibility was 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Admission into AIIMS New Delhi through NEET UG 2024

This year the admission to AIIMS New Delhi has been granted through NEET UG 2024 Examination whereas till last year, the admission to AIIMS New Delhi was given through entrance examination of AIIMS New Delhi.

Although single medical entrance examination, NEET UG has been implemented in the country but student has to fulfill the eligibility norms of the medical institute also to seek admission in it. The Medical Counselling Committee has clarified in its counselling scheme that the NEET UG 2024 aspirant must fulfill the eligibility criteria of the medical college/institute.
