Aksh Gogi AIR 23 JEE Advanced 2025 Make Topic Strong

Preparation for a competitive exam like JEE requires not only hard work but also the right strategy, mental balance and constant self-evaluation.

This success journey of Aksh, who comes from Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh, is enough to make students understand that no matter what the circumstances, if the direction is right, the goal can be achieved.

Beginning: Association with Allen and Talent Test

Aksh first came to know about ALLEN Career Institute through Allen’s talent test, Tallentex, in class 9th. After giving the test, he joined Allen to prepare for IQJS. After reaching the second stage, he decided to come to Kota for serious preparation of JEE.

Journey from online to offline

Aksh took online support in class 9th and 10th, but when he entered class 11th, he shifted to Kota and started offline classes. He told that adjustment was a challenge in the beginning, but with the support of the family – especially sister Aavya and parents, this transition became easy.

Study strategy: Balance of theory vs practice

Initially, when topic-wise studies were going on, Aksh focused only on strengthening the theory. But as soon as the syllabus was completed and mock tests started, he started giving preference to practice.

He told that during the mock test, sometimes the results were good and sometimes disappointing. But he learned to accept these ups and downs and kept improving continuously.

Focus on weak subject: Made Maths strong

Aksh himself admits that Maths was his weak subject. He realized in the first round of mock test that if he wants to succeed, he will have to pay special attention to this subject.

“You should also give more time to the subject which is weak in you in the beginning. Try to improve it in the first round.”

Importance of previous years’ question papers

In the last phase of mocks, Aksh said that solving previous years’ question papers is very useful. He believes that coaching questions are a bit twisted, while the level of the actual exam is somewhat different. In such a situation, PYQs gives the right experience of the exam.

Balance between JEE Main and JEE Advanced

Aksh advised to keep in touch with JEE Advanced during the preparation of Mains. He suggests that students should keep at least some time for advance practice every day, so that the focus remains intact.

Time Management and Exam Strategy

Aksh adopted a special strategy for time management. He used to make fixed time slots for Physics, Chemistry and Maths, and kept a buffer time at the end so that revision can be done in any subject if needed.

He said: “Your performance should not depend on whether the paper was tough or easy. It is important to give as much output in the exam as you know.”

Ways to deal with mental stress

When he did not feel like studying, Aksh liked to play guitar, play table tennis, talk to family and spend time with friends. He told that all this was a part of his stress management technique.

Final advice: Focus on quality, not hours

Aksh’s final advice is that for success it is not necessary to study 12–18 hours a day. Rather, what is important is regularity, planning and efficiency.

I had only 6-7 hours after classes. But I used them with full honesty. That is why my result was good.

Aksh’s journey shows that if the goal is clear, the plan is solid, and self-analysis is constant, then any student can succeed in a difficult exam like JEE. Every student should identify his weak subject, start efforts at the right time and maintain mental balance.

“The seed of success is hidden in struggle – you just need to know how to recognize it.”
