MCC All India NEET UG Counselling 2025 – Second Round Provisional Seat Allotment Released

NEET 2025 MBBS Closing Ranks for AIQ: Gen 24,949 | EWS 28,920 | OBC 25,108 | SC 1,32,649 | ST 1,56,601

Finally, after a long wait of 15 days, the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) released the provisional seat allotment results for the second round of counseling for the All India Quota based on the medical entrance exam NEET UG 2025 ranks.

MCC conducts counseling for admission to premier institutions such as AIIMS, JIPMER, Central Universities and ESIC Medical Colleges, other All India Medical and Dental Colleges, and select Central Nursing Institutes.

Closing Ranks for Different Categories

Career counseling expert at ALLEN Career Institute, stated that the closing ranks for MBBS courses under the All India 15% quota were: 24,949 for the General category 28,920 for the EWS category 25,108 for the OBC category 1,32,649 for the SC category and 156,601 for the ST category.

Similarly, the closing ranks were: 48 for the General category 254 for the EWS category 207 for the OBC category 644 for the SC category and 1,405 for the ST category at AIIMS Delhi.

Whereas in other AIIMS institutes, the closing rank was 5761 in the General category, 7417 in the EWS category, 6456 in the OBC category, 43997 in the SC category, and 63378 in the ST category.

Expert informed that the closing rank was 1606 in the General category, 2284 in the EWS category, 2260 in the OBC category, 15798 in the SC category, and 28782 in the ST category in the Central University category, at the Institute of Medical Sciences, Varanasi, affiliated to Banaras Hindu University (BHU).

Similarly, at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Aligarh, affiliated to Aligarh Muslim University, the closing rank was 5300 in the General category, and the closing rank for internal quota candidates was 18699.

For internal state quota seats at medical colleges affiliated to Delhi University, including Maulana Azad Medical College, Lady Hardinge Medical College, and University College of Medical Sciences, the closing rank was 5577 in the General category, 14555 in the EWS category, 13303 in the OBC category, 76771 in the SC category, and 166697 in the ST category.

For internal state quota seats at Indraprastha University, including Vardhman Mahavir Medical College and Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, the closing rank was 2502 in the General category, 5269 in the EWS category, 6763 in the OBC category, 58225 in the SC category, and 132205 in the ST category.

Similarly, in other central institutes, JIPMER, Pondicherry, and the government’s state-level quota, the closing ranks were 4203 in the General category, 6616 in the EWS category, 5727 in the OBC category, 35487 in the SC category, and 56546 in the ST category.

Similarly, in the 15 percent All India Quota BDS seats, the closing ranks were 47936 in the General category, 54132 in the EWS category, 50293 in the OBC category, 176287 in the SC category, and 231324 in the ST category.

The closing rank of the medical college affiliated to the deemed university was 821077 and the closing rank of the dental college was 837317. For the first time, two new medical colleges of Rajasthan state, Tonk and Jaisalmer, were included in the All India Counselling process.

Candidates from the state of Rajasthan also gave prominence to the closing rank of the Government Medical College Tonk in the General category was 15204, 16971 in EWS, 15470 in OBC, 93550 in SC and 96928 in ST category.

Similarly, the closing rank of Government Medical College, Jaisalmer was 14877 in the General category, 15346 in the EWS category, 15215 in the OBC category, and 93826 in the SC category.

Reporting in Person is Required

Mishra stated that college-allotted candidates must download their individual allotment letter from the MCC website, which will be available on the candidate portal.

They must then report in person to their allotted college with original documents and fees, as per the joining schedule issued by MCC. Since this is the second round of MCC counseling, there is no free exit option.

Candidates who are not satisfied with their allotted college can opt for exit with forfeiture of security deposit. In such a case, their security deposit will be forfeited.

However, such candidates can participate in the third round of counseling by depositing the security deposit again. Also, candidates who are satisfied with their allotted college can go to that college and complete their admission process.

If they wish to advance to the third round, they will need to inform the admission officer at their college, but they will also need to submit all their original documents and the appropriate college fees.
