JEE Main 2025 April Session (4 April Shift 1 & II) Paper Analysis by ALLEN

Maths was Difficult, Physics and Chemistry Were Easy

The third day of the second session of the country’s largest engineering entrance exam JEE Main-April 2025 for admission to BE-BTech course was held on 4 April, Friday. The exam was conducted on computer based mode.

Dr. Brajesh Maheshwari, Director, ALLEN Career Institute Private Limited, said that the paper has been analysed on the basis of students’ feedback.

According to the information received from the students, the Maths paper on the third day was difficult and lengthy. Physics and Chemistry papers were easy. Students did not face any technical problem on the third day.

Chemistry

Overall the paper was easy in both the shifts. In the morning shift, 30-30% questions were asked from Inorganic and Organic Chemistry and 40% from Physical Chemistry. Statement and matching list questions were also asked in single option questions in the paper.

About three-four mixed questions were also asked. In Physical Chemistry, one question each was asked from Mole Concept, Redox, Atomic Structure, Liquid Solution, Electrochemistry. Two questions each were asked from Thermodynamics and Chemical Kinetics.

In Inorganic Chemistry, one question each was asked from Periodic Table, Compound, Salt Analysis, D & P Block and two questions were asked from Coordination.

In Organic Chemistry, one question each was asked from Alkyl Halide, Alcohol Ether, Carbonic Compound, Oxidation and Reduction of Organic Compound, Biomolecule and one question was also asked from Practical Organic Chemistry.

In the evening shift, there were more statement questions. Physical Chemistry had more weightage. 28 percent questions each were asked from Organic and Inorganic Chemistry and 44 percent from Physical Chemistry.

Physics

Overall the paper was easy in both the shifts. In the morning shift paper, 32 percent questions were asked from Electromagnetism, 14 from SHM, 14 from Modern Physics, 9 percent each from Particle Dynamics, Geometrical Optics and Heat and Thermodynamics and 13 percent from others.

Two questions each were asked from Sound Waves, Electrostatics, Geometrical Optics, Elasticity Heat and Thermodynamics, Unit and Dimension and Vectors. One question each was asked from Newton Law, Circular Motion, Rotational Dynamics, Gravitation, Current Electricity, Capacitance, Electro Magnetic Induction, Alternate Current, Electro Magnetic Waves and Waves Optics and Semiconductors.

In the evening shift, 28% questions were asked from Electromagnetism, 20% from Particle Dynamics, 16% from SHM, 8% each from Heat and Thermodynamics and Modern Physics, 4% from Geometrical Optics and 16% from others.

Maths

The overall paper was difficult and lengthy. In the morning shift, the Maths paper was of medium level but lengthy.

So, it took time to solve the paper. 36% questions were asked from Algebra, 12% from Vector 3D, 12% from Coordinates, 36% from Calculus, 4% from Trigonometry and 8% mixed questions.

The evening shift was difficult and lengthy. 36% questions were asked from Calculus, 32% from Algebra, 16% from Coordinates, 12% from Vector 3D and 4% mixed questions.
