Maths Lengthy, Physics Easy and Chemistry Medium
The fourth day of the second session of the country’s largest engineering entrance exam JEE Main-April 2025 for admission to BE-BTech courses was held on Monday. The exam was conducted in computer based mode.
Dr. Brajesh Maheshwari, Director, ALLEN Career Institute Private Limited, said that the paper has been analyzed on the basis of students’ feedback. According to the information received from the students, the maths paper on the fourth day was medium but lengthy.
While the level of Physics paper was easy and Chemistry paper was medium. In the Chemistry paper, more statement questions were asked in the morning shift. On Tuesday, the last paper of JEE Mains will be held in the evening shift for BTech. After this, there will be a paper for BArch on Wednesday.
In the morning shift, the level of the chemistry paper was medium and more questions were asked from statements. 33 percent questions were asked from inorganic chemistry, 29 percent from organic and 38 percent from physical chemistry. In physical chemistry, two questions were asked from atomic structure.
While one question each was asked from mole concept, liquid solution, chemical kinetics, thermodynamics, ionic equilibrium and electro chemistry. In organic chemistry, one question each was asked from alcohol ether, oxidation of organic compound, carboxylic acid and derivatives, biomolecules, IOPAC nomenclature and practical organic chemistry.
In inorganic, two questions each were asked from coordination compound, salt analysis and d block while one question each was asked from p block and chemical bonding. In the evening shift, 28 percent questions were asked from inorganic chemistry, 33 from organic and 3.9 percent from physical chemistry.
The paper was easy. In the morning shift paper, 28 percent questions were asked from electromagnetism, 8 each from SHM and modern physics, 20 from particle dynamics, 12 from geometrical optics, 16 from heat and thermodynamics and 2 percent from others.
Four questions were asked from elasticity, heat and thermodynamics, 3 each from alternating current and geometrical optics, 2 each from modern physics, magnetic effect of current and magnetism. While one question each was asked from Unit and Dimension, Basic Mathematics and Vectors, Newton Law of Motion and Fiction, Kinematics, Center of Mass, Momentum and Collision, Rotational Dynamics, Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Sound Waves, Electro Magnetic Waves and Wave Optics and Semiconductors.
In the evening shift, 24 percent questions were asked from Electromagnetism, 6 from SHM, 8 from Modern Physics, 28 from Particle Dynamics, 10 from Geometrical Optics, 12 from Heat and Thermodynamics and 10 percent from others.
In the morning shift, the level of Maths paper was medium but lengthy. In such a situation, it took time to solve the paper. 40 percent questions were asked from Algebra, 12 from Vector 3D, 16 from Coordinates, 28 from Calculus and 4 percent from Trigonometry.
In the evening shift, 36 percent questions were asked from Algebra, 12 percent from Vector 3D, 16 percent from Coordinates, 32 percent from Calculus and 4 percent from Trigonometry.
