Chemistry and Physics were Medium and Maths was Easy
The second session of the country’s largest engineering entrance exam JEE Main-April 2025 for admission to BE-BTech courses started on Wednesday. The exam was conducted in computer based mode. Dr. Brajesh Maheshwari, Director, ALLEN Career Institute Private Limited, said that the paper has been analysed on the basis of students’ feedback.
According to the information received from the students, the level of Chemistry and Physics in the morning shift was medium while Maths was easy. 25-25 questions were asked in Physics, Chemistry and Maths, all the questions of section 2 were compulsory. Students did not face any technical problem on the first day.
The chemistry paper was moderate in the morning shift. 40 percent questions were asked from inorganic chemistry, 40 percent from physical chemistry and 20 percent from organic chemistry.
Statement and matching list questions were also asked in single option questions in the paper.
In the morning shift paper, two questions each were asked from Kinematics, Rotational Dynamics, Geometrical Optics, and Magnetic Effect of Current.
While three questions each were asked from Modern Physics, Electrostatics, Elasticity, and Heat Thermodynamics. One question each was asked from Newton’s Law, Current Electricity, Electromagnetic Waves and Wave Optics, Semiconductor and SHM.
In the morning shift, the maths paper was easy but lengthy. Hence, it took time to solve the paper. 40% questions were asked from Algebra, 12% from Vector 3D, 16% from Coordinates, 24% from Calculus and 8% were mixed.
