World Mental Health Day 2025
World Mental Health Day is celebrated every year on October 10th. Its purpose is to raise awareness about mental health in society and support those struggling with mental health issues. This year’s theme also conveys the message that mental health is as important as physical health.
To this end, ALLEN Career Institute has launched several initiatives for its students that not only promote academic excellence but also strengthen mental and emotional balance.
ALLEN’s Belief: “Success is Where Both Mind and Body Are Healthy”
ALLEN Career Institute, a leading coaching institute in the country, has always believed that a student’s success is determined not only by marks or rank, but by their mental health and self-confidence. That’s why Allen has prioritized mental health and emotional well-being alongside education.
ALLENs approach isn’t limited to coaching classes; it’s a holistic learning philosophy that focuses on each student’s academic progress, emotional well-being, and mental stability.
-
Holistic Well-being Initiatives
At Allen, the day doesn’t just begin with studies, but with peace and positivity.
-
-
Mindfulness and Prayer

-
Each day begins with prayer and deep breathing exercises. This helps students calm their minds, maintain focus, and feel more energetic throughout the day.
-
-
Regular Breaks

-
To prevent mental fatigue during long study sessions, Allen has instituted 45-minute breaks. This allows students to refresh themselves and return to their studies with renewed concentration.
-
-
Yoga and Relaxation Sessions

-
Yoga and relaxation sessions are held after classes to help students achieve both fitness and mental well-being.
-
-
24×7 Counselling Services

-
Counsellors are available at all Allen campuses from 8 AM to 8 PM, with on-call support available from 8 PM to 8 AM. A 24/7 helpline and WhatsApp support team are also available to assist students. This ensures that no student feels alone at any time.
-
Behavioural Monitoring and Early Intervention
Allen has developed an attendance and performance tracking system to closely monitor student learning and attendance.
-
-
Attendance Monitoring

-
If a student is absent for two consecutive days, both the student and their parents are immediately contacted to inquire about their status. This allows for timely identification of any mental or health-related issues.
-
-
Student-Teacher Meetings (STMs)

-
Student-teacher meetings are held monthly, allowing for open discussions on aspects such as attendance, performance, and emotional well-being. This system helps address issues at an early stage.
-
Round-the-Clock Support – Allen Student Welfare Society
Allen has established the ALLEN Student Welfare Society (ASWS) to strengthen student support. This organization listens to students’ concerns around the clock and provides solutions.
An emergency support team is also active around the clock to provide immediate assistance in case of any emergency.
-
Supportive Initiatives for Parents and the Community
Allen understands that parents play a vital role in a student’s progress. Therefore, parenting sessions are held, where experts teach parents how to maintain their child’s mental health and self-confidence.
Additionally, parents and teachers communicate regularly through mid-session PTMs (Parent-Teacher Meetings) to work together on a child’s academic and emotional progress.
-
Entertainment and Community Building
Allen understood how important creative and recreational activities are for students who are constantly under the pressure of studies.
-
-
30-Minute Fun Day Wednesday

-
Every Wednesday, a 30-minute Fun Day is held, where students participate in activities such as singing, drawing, mimicry, and games.
-
-
Outings and Recreational Programs

-
Students are taken on outings within the city to provide a change of environment and mental refreshment.
The purpose of these initiatives is not just entertainment, but to promote community spirit and social connection.

Kota Gets a New Identity: Allen’s ‘Sanishtha: Emotional Wellbeing Centre’
In Kota, considered the country’s largest coaching hub, millions of students preparing for competitive exams struggle with mental stress. Turning this challenge into an opportunity, Allen has launched the ‘Sanishtha: Emotional Wellbeing Centre’.
-
-
Scientific Solutions for Mental Health

-
This centre helps students develop a positive mindset, stay stress-free, and provides scientific solutions to every problem. It is dedicated to helping students.
Approximately 80 expert counsellors are employed here, including both clinical and non-clinical doctors.
-
-
Solutions to every problem

-
At Sanishtha, experts provide personalised support for issues such as relationship problems, study difficulties, self-harm, substance abuse, internet addiction, and more.
-
-
Avoiding the word ‘counselling’

-
Students and parents often feel uncomfortable with the word ‘counseling.’ To change this perception, Allen has avoided using the word ‘counseling’ at this centre.
Students have several options to express their concerns—
-
-
- By calling the helpline
- By sending a WhatsApp message
- By meeting representatives at the centre
- Or by talking to a member of the Student Welfare Society

-
-
Students and parents gain confidence
On average, the Sanishtha Centre listens to and resolves the problems of 40 to 50 students daily. Over the past two years, nearly 5,000 students have benefited from this program.
Counselling is available not only for students but also for parents to understand their children’s emotional and academic struggles.
A parent said, “This Allen centre has brought new hope to our children. We are now confident that they are mentally strong along with their studies.”
-
Support from the community and administration
This initiative by Allen is not just an effort of one institution, but has become a symbol of the responsibility of the entire city of Kota. With the support of the district administration, police, and social organizations, it is being ensured that every student coming to Kota is safe, capable, and mentally healthy.
On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, Allen Career Institute is spreading the message that education is not just about acquiring knowledge, but about the art of living.
Through its holistic policies, Sanishtha Emotional Wellbeing Centre, 24×7 support system, and fun activities, Allen has created a culture where “student wellbeing” and “academic excellence” coexist.
Today, Allen is not just a competitive exam preparation institute, but a guardian of students’ mental and emotional well-being—guiding every student not only to success but also to a balanced life.
