All Student Welfare Society (ASWS): Just a Call Away for Coaching Students’ Help in Kota

ASWS Provides Assistance with Hostel Disputes, Illness, Safety, Hygiene, and Other Problems with Just One Phone Call

Kota is famous throughout the country as the coaching capital. Every year, thousands of students come here to prepare for engineering, medical, and other competitive exams. While being away from home and their city is a symbol of a new beginning, it is also full of many difficulties and challenges. The All Students Welfare Society (ASWS) works to support students amidst these challenges and has been continuously serving students for the past 18 years.

Establishment and Objectives of the Society

Established in 2006-07, the All Students Welfare Society aims to provide social, mental, and practical support to students coming to Kota. The registration number of this organization is 171. It was founded by Dr. Naveen Maheshwari, Director of ALLEN Career Institute.

According to the President of the organization, Mukesh Saraswat, “Every year, more than one lakh students come to Kota from various states of the country—such as Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, etc. This city is completely new to them—the language, food, and lifestyle are all different. In such a situation, many students struggle with mental stress, loneliness, and daily life problems. This organization was started keeping these circumstances in mind.”

24-Hour Assistance with Just One Call

The biggest feature of the Welfare Society is that it is available to students 24 hours a day. Students can get help with any problem by simply making a call. The organization has a team of trained CPOs (Chief Protection Officers) and vigilance staff who are ready to help day and night.

So far, the organization has provided assistance to more than 70,000 students in one way or another. Whether it is a medical emergency at night, a dispute in the hostel, or a problem with rent or water—the organization stands with the students in every situation.

Functioning & Activities of ASWS

The organization currently has 45 active members who continuously monitor and coordinate activities. These members keep a close watch on the safety and well-being of students in the major coaching areas of Kota—such as Indravihar, Talwandi, Baran Road, and Landmark City.

The organization not only addresses the personal problems of students but also works with the police and district administration to resolve issues related to hostels and messes.

The organization’s main responsibilities include:

  • Resolving hostel disputes, rent, or facility-related problems
  • Arranging immediate medical treatment for sick students
  • Monitoring street lighting and sanitation in coaching areas
  • Assisting with transportation-related difficulties
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and security guidelines

Cultural and Social Initiatives

The All Students Welfare Society is not limited to providing assistance; it also focuses on the holistic development of students. The organization conducts cultural programs, health camps, and awareness campaigns on various occasions.

In the organization’s programs, students showcase their talents through dance, music, and theatrical performances. This not only boosts their morale but also helps them maintain mental balance in a competitive environment like Kota.

Participation in Dussehra Fair and Service Activities

For the past three years, the organization has provided assistance to the general public by setting up a “Health and Help Zone” at the Dussehra fair. In addition, festivals like Diwali, Baisakhi, Garba, Durga Puja, Ganesh Chaturthi, Eid-ul-Fitr, and Christmas are celebrated with enthusiasm every year.

During the COVID-19 lockdown, the organization set an example of humanitarian service. In just 58 days, a 150-member team of the organization delivered 365,000 food packets to those in need. This effort is proof that the organization is not limited to students but is committed to helping every section of society.

Assurance of Safety for Students

The organization’s main office is located in Indra Vihar, while its branch offices are also operational in Landmark City, Baran Road, and Naya Nohra. CPO and vigilance teams continuously inspect the hostels to ensure the safety of students and compliance with guidelines.

Members of the organization say, “Our aim is not just to provide assistance, but to assure every student that they are not alone in Kota.” The All Students Welfare Society has played a crucial role in making the coaching environment in Kota safer, more supportive, and more humane.

This organization is not just a means of assistance, but like a family that is helping thousands of students reach their dreams.

If any student is in trouble, all they have to do is make a call — and help will reach their doorstep.
