CBSE announces Special Board Exam Dates for Class 10, 12

Special Board Exam for Students Missing 2025 Exams Due to Major Sports Events

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced examination dates for the Special board examinations 2025 for the students of class 10 and class 12 who could not write their board examinations in the year 2025 due to participation in National and International sports events.

The CBSE has released the examination schedule for the special board examinations on its official website, cbse.gov.in. The CBSE has made the arrangement of special board examination so that such sports persons can write their board examination.

Exam Schedule of Special Board Exams

As per the examination schedule of the Special board examinations of CBSE, the CBSE Class 10 examination will be conducted from 7 April to 11 April and the CBSE Class 12 examination will be organized on 11 April 2025.

CBSE has instructed the CBSE affiliated schools to inform the special board examination dates to inform to the students eligible to write these special board examinations.

The eligible students of Special board examination will have to take their examinations at their previously assigned exam centres.

Class 10 Special board Exam Dates

CBSE had organized Class 10 board examinations from 15 February to 18 March 2025 but now CBSE has announced examination dates for the Special board examination for the students who missed their board examinations earlier due to participation in National and International sports events.

As per the special board examination dates for class 10 students, English Language and Literature, Hindi Course ‘A’, and French subject examinations will be conducted in single shift from on 7 April, Science subject exam on 8 April, social science exam and Multi Skill Foundation course examination on 9 April and Hindi course B and Sanskrit on 11 April.

Except the Multi Skill Foundation course, all other class 10 special board examination will be held from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm whereas the Multi Skill foundation course examination will be held from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm.

Class 12 Special Board Exam Dates

The Class 12 Special board examination for subjects English Core, Chemistry, Physical Education, Hindi elective and Hindi core will be held from 10.30 to 1.30 pm on 11 April. All these subject examinations will be conducted in a single day.

Admit Cards

While the aspirants will be able to take their special board examinatins for class 10 and class 12 on the same examination centre but they will have to download fresh admit cards for their examinations.

The admit cards for the CBSE special exam for classes 10th and 12th are likely to be released soon. Students will have to carry their fresh admit cards on the examination day to the examination centre along with a valid ID proof. Students who would turn up at the examination centre without the admit cards will not be able to appear for the examinations.

Students shall reach the examination centre by 10 am. Students are advised to regularly check the official CBSE website for further details and updates.
