The CBSE Affiliated Schools have been asked to do Corrections in Student Particulars at cbse.gov.in
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had opened the correction window on 9 April 2025 for allowing corrections in the particulars of the class 10 and class 12 students. CBSE opened the correction window for updation in the particulars of the students as several kinds of errors were submitted by the schools.
For correction in the particulars of the students of Class 10 and class 12, correction window has been opened. CBSE were instructed to perform corrections in the particulars of the students at cbse.gov.in till 17 April.
The CBSE schools were expected to upload the correction information about the class 10 and class 12 students through the correction window on the CBSE portal. The objective behind opening Correction window is to ensure correct result and marks statement of the candidates.
Corrections Available Only on Selected Particulars
CBSE board has although permitted corrections in the particulars of the class 10 and class 12 students but only in selected particulars. Candidate name correction, minor corrections in the Father/mother name, Mother/Father Name interchange, photo correction, Date of birth correction, gender correction and some other fields can be corrected in the correction window.
The schools can make corrections in only. CBSE has not permitted for complete change of name of candidate and parents.
Fees for Correction
CBSE has levied charges for the corrections in the particulars of the class 10 and 12 students’ particulars. For every correction in the particulars of the students, the concerned school will have to pay fees of Rs 1000 for every student. The CBSE affiliated schools will have to deposit the fees for correction to the regional office of CBSE.
