CBSE Launches Special Portal for CWSN Students

New Initiative for CWSN Students by CBSE

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has taken an important step towards making education more accessible to children. The board has launched a special portal for CWSN (Children With Special Needs) students.

The objective of this portal is to ensure that students with special needs do not face any inconvenience during the examination and all facilities and concessions can be made available to them on time as per their rights.

CBSE has clearly stated that if CWSN students want to avail any facility or exemption given during the board examination, then their respective schools can apply for it. This application will now be done through CWSN web portal.

Schools Will have to Apply Online

CBSE has clarified that all schools will have to log in to Pariksha Sangam Portal. For this, they will have to use their log-in ID and password. CWSN module has been made available on the portal, where schools will be shown the list of students who have been marked in the CWSN category in the LOC data.

Information about which facilities are available according to the category of each student will be clearly displayed on the portal. If a student wants to avail these facilities, then the school will have to select that option. After this, these details will automatically be recorded in the student’s admit card.

All Facilities will be Available at the Examination Centre

This move of CBSE is also important because it will let the examination centres know in advance which students need what kind of facilities. This will give the centres time to prepare in advance and the students will not face any kind of inconvenience during the examination.

The board has clarified that the examination centres will make necessary arrangements for all such students so that no CWSN candidate faces any problem.

Application deadline

CBSE has given clear guidelines to the schools that they can fill the details of the students and upload the required documents on the CWSN portal between September 9 and September 22, 2025. It is important for the schools to follow this deadline, as applications will not be accepted after the last date.

Objective of CBSE

CBSE says that through this portal the board wants to ensure that students with special needs can get proper relaxation and facilities on time. This step is a big change to avoid any kind of inequality or inconvenience during the examination.

The board believes that every child should get equal opportunity, and that is why the technical support and online system for special category students is being further strengthened.

Information available on the official website of CBSE

Students and schools who want to get more information on this subject can visit the official website of CBSE. All the guidelines and detailed information are made available there.

This move of CBSE is not only a relief for CWSN students but also convenient for schools and examination centres. This will make the process transparent and students with special needs will get the support they deserve.

In a sensitive process like examination, this initiative will increase the confidence of students who are struggling with physical, mental or other challenges. Now it is the responsibility of the schools to apply on the portal on time so that all the facilities can reach the students.
