National Centre for Financial Education (NCFE) and Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) successfully conducted the first National Financial Literacy Test for Class VIII-Class X students across the country.
Around 1 lakh students appeared for the test which was held on January 10. The list of top 120 All-India rank holders is available on the CBSE website.
Abhinav Agarwal from Kendriya Vidyalaya Raigarh, Maharashtra, Mohammad Atif from Aditya Birla Public School Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh and Mukund Choudhary from Krishna Public School Raipur, Chhattisgarh, bagged the Top 3 Ranks, respectively.
An impressive 929 students appeared from Rani Public School Kozhikode, Kerala which was the largest number of students from a single school.
The 60-minute National Financial Literacy Test consisted of 75 questions on various financial topics, including basic financial knowledge on topics such as money, banking, investment, savings, insurance, budgeting, financial planning and retirement planning.
National Financial Literacy Test (NFLT) was administered by National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) under NCFE in collaboration with CBSE, which aimed at encouraging the knowledge of financial matters, among the students .
The NFLT helps in identifying the current general awareness of financial matters among the selected age group, highlighting which areas need more attention.
