The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) extends an invitation for applications under the Single Girl Child Scholarship X 2023 Scheme. Aspiring candidates can submit their applications on the official website at www.cbse.gov.in. Mark your calendars, for the deadline to apply for the CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship 2023 is October 18, 2023.

What is CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship 2023:

This scheme is designed for online applications for the CBSE Merit Scholarship, aimed at empowering Single Girl Children who have passed in Class X examinations in 2023 within CBSE and are currently pursuing their education in Class XI at CBSE-affiliated schools.

Online applications are welcomed for the following Merit Scholarship Schemes. Single Girl Child Scholarship X 2022 (Renewal 2023) Scheme: For those seeking renewal of the CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship X, awarded in 2022.

Eligibility for the CBSE Single Girl Child Merit Scholarship Scheme:

All Single Girl Students who have secured a commendable 60 per cent or more in CBSE Class X Examinations and are currently enrolled in Class XI & XII at schools affiliated with CBSE, where the monthly tuition fee does not exceed Rs 1,500 during the academic year, shall be deemed eligible. Moreover, over the next two years, the total increase in tuition fees at such schools shall not surpass 10 per cent of the tuition fee previously charged,

As per the official notice. NRI applicants are also welcomed into the fold for this prestigious award. Beneficiaries of this scholarship will receive a commendable sum of Rs 500. The scholarship, awarded under this scheme, will support students for a maximum duration of two years.
