CSAB Counselling 2024: 13466 Vacant Seats in NIT-IIIT

Opportunity to Fill 567 Choices of 98 Colleges

Two special rounds of Counselling are being conducted by CSAB between 31st July and 14th August for the seats that remained vacant after JEE Counselling in 98 top engineering institutes including NIT-IIIT of the country.

The registration and choice filling for which has already started. The last date for choice filling is 3 August till 5 pm

NIT-IIIT has 13 Thousand 466 Seats Vacant

According to the vacant seat matrix released on the CSAB website, a total of 13 thousand 466 seats are vacant in 98 colleges including NIT-IIIT.  32 NITs have 5 thousand 118 seats, out of which 3 thousand 974 are from gender neutral pool and 1148 seats are from female pool.

26 IIITs have 2 thousand 534 seats, out of which 2 thousand 154 are from gender neutral pool and 380 seats from female pool. 35 GFTIs have a total of 5 thousand 814 seats, out of which 5 thousand 645 are from gender neutral pool and 169 seats from female pool.

Out of these 13 thousand 466 vacant seats, 11 thousand 769 are from gender neutral pool and 1 thousand 697 are from female pool on which CSAB Counselling is being done.

This means that in JoSAA Counselling, there were a total of 13 thousand 466 seats on which either no allotment was done or students have withdrawn from these seats.

Opportunity to Fill 567 Choices of 98 Colleges

In CSAB Counselling, students have been given the option to fill 540 college branch choices for a total of 13466 seats in 98 institutes including NIT-IIIT.

This includes 299 branch choices of 32 NITs, 95 branch choices of 26 IIITs and 173 branch choices of 37 GFTIs. In the special round Counselling, students who have not been allotted any seat in JoSAA Counselling can participate.

Also all those students, who have participated in JoSAA Counselling earlier and have deposited partial admission fee after college allocation by NIT system and also those students who have left the allotted seat in JoSAA Counselling, will be eligible to participate.

In the special round of choice filling, students should fill as many college choices as possible according to their interest, because the seat matrix released on the website is only estimated, there is a possibility of more seats remaining vacant than this.

Also, students who were allotted any college seat in JoSAA Counselling, if they are participating in the special round Counselling and they do not get a better college seat than the one they got, then the college seat allotted to them in JoSAA Counselling will be re-allocated.
