Candidate Reporting till 7th August
Seat allocation for the first round of CSAB counseling 2024, being conducted for 13466 vacant seats in 98 colleges of NIT, IIIT and GFTI of the country, has been released.
Students who have been allotted any college seat for the first time in the first round will have to deposit the institute admission fee and upload the necessary documents by 5 pm on 7 August and do online reporting.
This institute admission fee has been kept at Rs 35,000 for general and OBC and Rs 12,500 for SC and ST. Students will have to deposit the institute admission fee during online reporting and get confirmation of their allotted seat after document verification.
After the first round of seat allocation, students will have to choose one of the five options during online reporting. Students can participate in further counseling by choosing the options of freeze, float and slide.
Students, who were allotted a seat in JoSAA but participated in CSAB counseling 2024 to upgrade their seat and these students secured their seat by paying the seat acceptance fee and partial admission fee for seat allocation during JoSAA counseling, now if they are not allotted any new seat in the special round, then the college seat allotted to them in JoSAA counseling has been re-allocated to them.
Also, they will not have to pay any institute admission fee if they are allotted a new seat in the special round counseling. Only the documents verified in the previous JoSAA counseling of these students will be valid. They will not have to get their documents verified again.
After the first round of seat allocation, students who are not satisfied with their allotted seat can surrender their allotted seat and go to the next round of counseling or can also withdraw the allotted seat and get out of the counseling.
Students have the last chance till August 7 for seat surrender withdrawal. Students can get their fees refunded by surrendering their allotted seat only in the first round of online reporting. CSAB will refund the remaining fee after deducting the counseling fee of Rs 5000.
