And in 2025, a record-breaking 15.39 lakh students registered, the highest ever so far.
Why the Craze for Engineering is increasing
According to expert, the reason for students’ increasing craze for engineering is not only good jobs in the engineering sector but also the opening up of career opportunities in various fields after becoming engineers.
After doing engineering, students get placed with good packages in different areas of the economy such as Engineering and Technology, IT Software, IT Hardware, Startups, Finance and Data Analytics, Consulting Finance, Business Analytics, Ed-Tech, Research and Development, Services, Education, FMCG, and PSUs.
Along with this, after engineering, students develop analytical, logical, problem-solving, and creative aptitude, due to which if students go into any field after engineering, their chances of success increase.
Kota Proving to be a Change Maker
Kota is proving to be a change maker in fulfilling the dreams of students across the country. It is a city where students from all over India come to prepare for engineering entrance exams. In the preparation of IIT-JEE, one of the toughest examinations of the country, the success percentage of Kota is the best in India.
Talking about the national average, more than 15 lakh students appeared in JEE Main. Out of these, the top 2.50 lakh students appeared in JEE Advanced for 18,188 seats of IITs. For one seat, 13 students appeared in the exam. Success was achieved by less than one percent, while the success percentage of students studying in Kota is much higher. Every fourth IITian in the country is from Kota coaching. That is why Kota is becoming a changemaker.
Keep These Things in Mind While Choosing an Engineering College
Expert told that every year after passing Class 12, a large number of students face the question of selecting good engineering institutions, in which both parents and students are seen confused. Before selecting any engineering institution, it is necessary to look at its academics, placement, fees, faculty, facilities, alumni, food, locality, college ranking, technical curriculum, and exposure.
Today, the best institutions in the country put great emphasis on all these points for the overall development of students. Generally, the world’s top brands like Google, Microsoft, Apple, Facebook, and IBM select students from the top engineering institutions of the country with packages of 15–20 lakh, 30–35 lakh, 40–50 lakh, and even more than 1 crore because in these institutions they easily get the highest qualified students.
Nowadays, in most engineering institutions of the country, many competitions are organized to develop and explore the analytical, logical, and aptitude skills of students, which increases their ability to face any competition and challenge in the future.
