Gujarat Board Releases Class 10 and 12 Exam Timetable

The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) have ended the wait for the 2026 board examinations. The board has officially released the detailed timetable for the Class 10 (Secondary School Certificate – SSC) and Class 12 (Higher Secondary Certificate – HSC) examinations.

This year’s exams will be held from February 26, 2026, to March 16, 2026. Students and schools can now download the complete timetable from the website www.gseb.org.

Exam Dates and Sessions

The Gujarat Board has stated that the examinations will be conducted in two sessions:

Morning Session: 10:00 AM to 1:15 PM

Afternoon Session: 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM

Class 10 examinations will be held in the morning session, while Class 12 Science, General, Vocational, and Sanskrit stream examinations will be held in the afternoon session.

Class 10 (SSC) Board Exam 2026 Timetable

The Class 10 examinations will begin on February 26, 2026, and conclude on March 16, 2026. All subject papers will be of 80 marks, while the remaining 20 marks will be added from internal assessment or practical marks. The exam time will be from 10:00 AM to 1:15 PM.

Subject-wise Schedule:

February 26 – First Language (Hindi / Gujarati / Marathi / English / Urdu)

February 28 – Science

March 4 – Social Science

March 6 – Basic Mathematics

March 9 – Standard Mathematics

March 12 – Second Language

March 14 – Optional Subject / Computer Education

March 16 – Final examination for Vocational Courses

The Gujarat Board has instructed all schools to maintain discipline in the conduct of the examinations and to provide students with timely information about the prescribed timetable. Class 12 (HSC) Science Stream Examinations 2026

The Class 12 Science stream examinations will also commence from February 26, 2026, and continue until March 13, 2026. The timing for these examinations is scheduled from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM.

Dates for Main Subjects:

February 26 – Physics

February 28 – Chemistry

March 4 – Biology

March 9 – Mathematics

Each question paper is divided into two parts –

Part A: OMR sheet-based objective questions (50 questions, 50 marks total, 60 minutes)

Part B: Descriptive questions (50 marks, 2 hours 30 minutes)

Thus, each paper will be of 100 marks in total, and students must pass both parts.

Class 12 General, Vocational, and Sanskrit Streams

According to the notification issued by the Gujarat Board, the examinations for Class 12 General, Vocational, and Sanskrit streams will also be conducted from February 26 to March 16, 2026. The examination time for all of these will be from 3:00 PM to 6:15 PM.

Sanskrit Stream Examinations:

Sanskrit Pratham: February 26 to March 3, 2026, time 10:00 AM to 1:15 PM

Sanskrit Madhyama: February 26 to March 13, 2026, time 3:00 PM to 6:15 PM

Online Registration and Examination Fee

GSEB has started the online registration process for the February 2026 board examinations.

Students of Class 10, Sanskrit-Pratham, and Class 12 (General, Science, Vocational, U.U. Basic, and Sanskrit Madhyama) can fill their examination forms on www.gseb.org. Form Submission Deadline:

With regular fee: December 6, 2025 (until 12 AM)

With late fee (if applicable): Date will be notified later.

Schools have been instructed to ensure that they check each student’s form on time and ensure there are no errors.

Important Guidelines for Students

The Gujarat Board has also issued some important instructions keeping in mind the examination preparations:

Admit Card: Will be available from the school at least 10 days before the examination.

Examination Centre: The name and code of the centre will be mentioned on the admit card, which should be checked carefully before the examination.

Punctuality: All students are required to be present at the centre at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination.

Prohibition of Unfair Means: Electronic gadgets, mobile phones, smartwatches, or any kind of notebook are prohibited in the examination hall.

Caution on OMR Sheet: Science stream students must carefully mark their answers while filling the OMR sheet, as one mistake can affect the entire evaluation process.
