Indian Institute of Sciences (IISc), Bengaluru rated India’s top University with World Rank 155
India’s top universities are securing global recognition and top World rankings among the universities in the World. The latest rankings of the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings (WUR) have announced World Rankings for several prestigious universities and educational institutions in India.
While the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA) continues to rule the global university rankings with Rank-1 in the World, Indian Universities are also proving their mettle in the World with their Top World Rankings. Aspirants of India
The global rankings of these Indian universities and Educational Institutions speak volumes of their quality and supremacy.
There are 3 Indian universities and educational institutes which have bagged World ranks in the Top 200 Rankings of the QS WUR.
In the 19th edition of the QS WUR, 41 Indian universities and educational institutions have grabbed World rankings in the QS WUR of which 27 Universities/educational institutions are in the top 1000 World University Rankings (UR). There were 22 Universities/educational institutions in the QS WUR Rankings of last year (2021).
The QS World University Rankings (WUR) rankings were declared on the basis of faculty/student ratio, citations per faculty, academic reputation, employer reputation, international students’ ratio, and international faculty ratio.
The Indian Institute of Sciences, Bengaluru continues to be the best University in India as per the QS WUR Global rankings. IISc, Bengaluru has been ranked 155 in the Global Rankings of QS WUR and it is the fastest rising Asian University in the QS WUR Rankings. Its ranking is up by 31 Ranks from last year’s QS WUR rankings.
Two more Universities/Educational institutions have grabbed berths in the Top 200 WUR Rankings. These 2 Universities/Educational Institutions of India in the Top 200 QS World University Rankings are the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mumbai at World 172 and IIT Delhi at World Rank 174. Meanwhile, the National ranking of IIT Mumbai is 2 and IIT Delhi is 3.
Several IITs of the country have continued to dominate the World Rankings of QS WUR 19th Edition. IIT-Madras has secured 250 World rank, IIT-Kanpur 264 World Rank, IIT-Kharagpur 270 World Rank, IIT-Roorkee 369 World Rank, IIT-Guwahati 384 World, and IIT-Indore 396 World Rank.
Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) continues to be the top World Rank University. MIT is continuing to rule the World Rankings for the last 11 years. MIT is followed by Cambridge University at World Rank 2 and Stanford University at World Rank 3.
OP Jindal Global University is India’s top private University which has secured World Rankings in top QS WUR. OP Jindal Global University has been ranked in the 651-700 rank band. OP Jindal University is followed by the Manipal Academy of Higher Education at 2nd National rank and Birla Institute of Technology, Pilani at 3rd Rank.
