Moon Exploration has been an exciting and challenging scientific mission in humanity’s history. Countries such as the United States, Russia, Europe, Japan, China, India, and Israel have launched their space missions to better understand the Moon and its relationship to Earth. The United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) has announced 20 July as an International Moon Day to increase awareness among the general public on the Moon and its environment.
Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO has completed two Moon Missions, namely Chandrayaan-1 and Chandrayaan-2. The objectives of these missions are to understand the Moon and its environment. The discovery of water molecules on the lunar surface by ISRO’s lunar mission has made remarkable history and opened the opportunity for many future moon explorations.
