JEE Advanced 2025 Result will be Announced on 2 June
Every year, lakhs of students appear for JEE Advanced to get admission in the prestigious IITs of the country. But this question is in the mind of every student – after all, how many marks can be obtained to get the last branch of IIT?
In this blog, we tell you on the basis of last year’s JoSAA counseling data, at what cut-off in 2025 you can get the last branch of the last IIT, that too category wise.
First of all, it is important to understand that IIT only releases minimum marks and subject-wise cut-off for counseling eligibility, and not guarantee admission.
Many students clear the cut-off, but are unable to get a college because seat allocation in IIT is based on rank, not just eligibility.
Admission can be obtained even with low marks due to special quota for female candidates
About 20 percent of seats are reserved for female candidates, which gives them additional advantage in getting the last branch
If you have scored below average or around average in JEE Advanced 2025, there is no need to panic. Given the previous year trend and this year’s difficult paper, there is still a possibility of getting admission in IIT even with a low score.
Now it’s your turn – are you able to cross these possible cut-offs? Do you think you can get any IIT branch this time? Do let us know by commenting below.
Best wishes for your bright future.
