JEE Advanced 20201 Exam Update: No examination center in abroad, exam date to be released soon
JEE-Advanced 2021 exam will be conducted for 14,500 seats in 23 IITs. The exam will be held in two shifts in CBT mode in 215 exam cities of the country. In Rajasthan, the exam will be held in Ajmer, Alwar, Bikaner, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, Sikar, Sri Ganganagar, and Udaipur. Although this year, the examination is not being conducted abroad because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Those students who applied for JEE-Advanced after qualifying JEE Main cut off in the year 2020 but could not appear in the exam due to some reason will get a chance to appear in JEE-Advanced 2021. The students who had their last opportunity to appear in the JEE-Advanced exam in the year 2020 and missed it due to some reason will get this chance. Those students who are not eligible for JEE Advanced based on JEE-Main 2021 cutoff and are eligible based on JEE-Main 2020 cutoff but could not appear for the exam can also appear in the exam this year based on the eligibility of the previous year. The URC code will be provided to these students during registration for JEE-Advanced.
More than 2.5 lacs students will appear in the exam
This year, the number of students appearing in the exam will be more than in the previous years as the students who missed the advanced exam based on the cutoff of JEE-Main 2020 are also getting the opportunity to appear in JEE-Advanced 2021.
