Aspirants Can Apply Till May 7
The JEE Advanced 2024 Examination will be held on 26 May 2024 from 9 am to 12 am and 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm. Online registration for the Indian aspirants, who are eligible to appear for JEE-Advanced on the basis of JEE-Main, will be done between April 27 and May 7.
However, the online registrations for the Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) and Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) JEE Advanced have begun already and will continue till May 7.
JEE Advanced 2024 is country’s most prestigious engineering entrance examination, through which aspirants can get admission to about 17 thousand 352 seats in 23 IITs of the country.
Which OCI/PIO Students Can Directly Take JEE Advanced 2024?
Students who have OCI or PIO card after 04.03.2021 will be considered as foreign citizens. Apart from this, all foreign citizenship students whose 12th is from India or abroad are not required to appear for JEE Main and can apply for JEE Advanced.
The application process of JEE Advanced has started for all these OCI/PIO students. These students will not be counted in the reservation of General-EWS, OBC, SC, ST and PWD categories.
Apart from this, students whose OCI or PIO card is before 04.03.2021, will have to appear for JEE Main first before applying for JEE Advanced.
All foreign students will be taken to appear for JEE-Advanced in addition to the top 2 lakh 50 thousand students selected. In the seat allotment of IIT, these students will be allotted additional 10 percent seats including all the seats in the open category.
The application fee for JEE-Advanced exam for foreign students has been kept at $100 for SAARC countries and $200 for other countries.
Important Details of JEE Advanced 2024 Exam
Online registration for students who are eligible to appear for JEE-Advanced on the basis of JEE-Main will be done between April 27 and May 7.
The application fee for these students has been kept at Rs 3200 for general and OBC category students, Rs 1600 for SC, ST, physically handicapped students and girl students of all categories.
Admit cards will be issued on 17th May. JEE Advanced exam result will be declared on June 9. JEE Advanced 2024 examination will be completely computer based and will be organized by IIT Madras.
The top 2 lakh 50 thousand students selected by the January and April JEE Main examinations will be declared eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced examination include 1,01,250 from the general category, 25,000 from the general EWS category, 67,500 from OBC, 37,500 from SC and 18,750 students from ST category.
