Along with Results, Answer key of the JEE Advanced 2024 Exam will also be issued
The JEE Advanced 2024 results are scheduled to be announced at 10 am on 9th June, Sunday. JEE Advanced 2024 Examination was conducted by IIT Madras in 221 cities in two shifts on 26th May this year.
A total 1.91 lakh aspirants took the examination. The JEE Advanced 2024 Examination will provide admission to over 17385 seats of 23 IITs in the country.
JEE Advanced Declared on the Official Website
The wait for the JEE Advanced 2024 aspirants for the results will be over soon when IIT Madras will declare the results on 9 June. IIT Madras will declare the results online under the candidates’ respective logins. The Result will be available on the official website, jeeadv.ac.in, for download.
To check the result, candidates will have to login with their JEE Advanced application number, date of birth and registered mobile number.
The All India Ranks, candidate marks in each subject and overall aggregate marks of the aspirants of JEE Advanced result 2024 will be declared along with the result.
Final Answer key will also be released along with the result. Once released, the aspirants will be able to download the answer key from the website jeeadv.ac.in.

JoSAA counselling will begin from 10th June
After the declaration of the JEE Advanced 2024 results, JoSAA Counselling will commence from 10th June. Aspirants who have qualified the JEE Advanced Exam will be eligible to appear in JoSAA 2024 counselling. The JoSAA 2024 counselling schedule and seat allotment will be available on josaa.nic.in. Although the admissions to IITs will be done on the basis of merit and availability of the seats.
This counselling will be held in 5 rounds between 10 June and 26 July. In the counselling, students will have to fill more than 600 college branches of 121 colleges including 23 IITs, 32 NITs, 26 IIITs and 40 GFTIs in descending order of preference. This year, compared to the last 12 years, the highest number of 1 lakh 91 thousand students had registered for the JEE-Advanced exam.
JEE Advanced Score to decide admission in IITs & their Branches
This year the JEE-Advanced exam was of total 360 marks, in which both Paper-1 and Paper-2 were of 180 marks each.
- Students who will score more than 280 marks are likely to get Computer Science in top IITs including IIT Bombay, Delhi, Kanpur, and Madras. The CS Branch of IIT Mumbai is the first choice of the students while the second priority of the students is the CS branch of IIT Delhi. The Computer Science branch of Kanpur and Madras is the third choice of the students.
- Between 250 to 280 marks, one can get MNC of Delhi, Kanpur, Electrical of the above top four IITs including IIT Mumbai, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur and IIT Madras, and CS of IIT Kharagpur.
- Between 250 to 225 marks, there is a possibility of getting CS of BHU, IIT Roorkee, Hyderabad, Guwahati, and Core branch of IITs of Mumbai, Delhi, Kanpur.
- Students securing between 225 to 170 marks are likely to get Computer Science in IITs of Gandhinagar, Indore, Rupnagar, Mandi, Jodhpur, Dhanbad, Patna, Bhubaneshwar and other branches other than Computer Science in Mumbai, Delhi, Kanpur, Kharagpur IITs are Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Aerospace, Production etc.
- With 170 to 150 marks, there is a possibility of getting Civil, Chemical, Metallurgy in IIT Roorkee, Guwahati, Kharagpur, Hyderabad, Varanasi and lower branches in IIT Mumbai, Delhi, Kanpur, Madras, CS in IIT Palakkad, Tirupati, Goa, Dharwad, Bhilai, and Jammu.
- Students securing between 150 to 125 marks are likely to get other branches besides core branch in IIT Ropar, Mandi, Indore, Gandhinagar, Jodhpur, Bhubaneswar, Patna, Dhanbad as well as branches like Biological Science, Naval Architecture, Mining Engineering, Polymer Science, Ceramic Engineering in the old seven IITs.
- Students securing between 125 to 110 marks are likely to get other branches in new IITs like Palakkad, Tirupati, Goa, Dharwad, Bhilai, and Jammu.
- The chances of getting a branch of IIT on the above marks will change according to the category OBC, EWS, SC-ST. Also, the chances of getting a branch in the above IITs can be reduced to lesser marks due to the 20% female pool quota given to girl students.
