JEE Advanced 2025 Examination will be held Tomorrow, 18 May
JEE Advanced, considered to be one of the most prestigious and challenging exams in the country, will be held this time on Sunday, 18 May. This exam is being conducted by IIT Kanpur and will be conducted in 222 cities of India as well as three international locations.
This exam will be conducted in two shifts—from 9 am to 12 noon and then from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. The result of the exam will be declared on 2 June. Students appearing for the exam will have to report to the centre by 7 am for the first shift. They will be allotted their seats and computers by 8:30 am so students should try to reach the examination centre by 7.45 am.
Since it will be a computer based test so 25 minutes before the start of the exam, candidates will be able to login through their roll number and date of birth and read the instructions related to the exam. The most special thing about JEE Advanced is that its pattern and marking scheme are not predetermined, so it is necessary to read each instruction carefully.
Exam Schedule and Necessary Precautions:
The first paper will end at 12 noon, after which students will get about two hours of rest for Paper-2. Although technically this interval is 2.30 hours, but students have to sit at the examination desk again by 2 pm. It is advisable to use this time properly.
If the examination centre is far from your residence, then make arrangements for accommodation nearby in advance. Students living nearby should reach the centre by at least 1:45 pm.
After the exam, do not get involved in the discussion of the paper unnecessarily, and in view of the heat, eat light food. To keep the body agile throughout the day, it is important to keep yourself active from 8 am to 5:30 pm.
Students may take power nap for 15-20 minutes in the break between the Paper 1 and Paper 2.
Things to Keep in Mind on the Day of Exam:
- Avoid small mistakes made in haste.
- No extra photo will be required.
- Student must carry Pencil, transparent pen and eraser with them for the examination.
- Carry an original identity card (like Aadhaar, PAN card, passport, voter ID, school ID, or driving license) along with the admit card. Need to carry original IDs instead of their photocopies.
- Keep a transparent water bottle with you.
- Calculator, nose ring, log table mobile phone, neck chain, tabeez, Bluetooth device, goggles, watch, writing pad, and geometry box will not allowed at the centre.
- You will get a scramble pad for rough work, on which it will be mandatory to enter the name and application number. You can take it with you after the exam. No extra pads will be given.
- Any kind of electronic gadget, jewellery, or metal items will not be allowed.
- No Dress code for the examination
- Avoid wearing loose and heavy buttoned clothes and shoes.
- Except thick sole shoes, any kind of footwear is allowed at the examination centre including sandals, slippers, shoes etc
